Back in may we took our cat Chai in to have her left rear knee operated on because her kneecap wasn't staying in place. Well now it looks like her right rear kneecap is acting up. Well at least that's what we suspect. She's been limping around on it on and off all day today and I have a funny feeling it's the same problem. She had a real tough go of it before we rescued her and I wish she could just enjoy her life without any more pain.

Gosh, that's a shame.  Did your Vet think at the time of the first surgery that she might have the same issue with the other leg?  Is that unusual?  Is that the luxating patella?  (think that's what it's called)

Hi Sally. Just wanted to check in with you.  Not too good at following these threads yet. What Kitty is having the problem?  How are you holding up?

What a shame Chari has to go through this again.  You too ;(  I sure hope she comes through the second surgery safe and sound.  Hopefully she will not be in too much pain.  Yikes!  Keep us updated if you can please.  Sending vibes

Yes that's what it's called, I just couldn't remember
. The vet did tell us that it is a possibility that her other knee would have to have surgery, we were hoping with one good one that it might take some of the strain off of the one that didn't have surgery. With the way she's limping though I'd put money on her knee. One minute it's fine the next she can hardly walk on it.

Yep the vet has confirmed that it's her knee. She's going in on wednesday for her surgery.

Well Her surgery has come and gone and it's been a week and a half. She's recovering way faster than the last time. Stitches come out this friday and it's good bye to that aweful cone. This is a picture of her the day after her surgery.
