Goopy drool hanging out of the corner of her mouth.. PLEASE HELP!!!!

Hi, I have a cat who's only about 6 years old & has always been in great condition. Tonight, I looked at her & noticed that she had this goopy drool (had the consistency of mucus) hanging out of the corner of her mouth, she wasn't bothered by it at all but it was GROSS!! Just wondering what this might be? I'm pretty concerned about what I should do about it. She's also been making these coughing sounds(not sure if it's something wrong with her health, or if she's making a sound towards the kittens(whom she's not too fond of lol!), or if it's the start of a hairball? Not too sure. Any answers would be awesome, thank you!!

There's no photo.  I would take her for a vet check if she's the same tomorrow.  it could be lots of things.

Can't see a photo.  It could be a lot of things.  The first thing that jumps to my mind is a tooth issue of some kind.  Is her tongue hanging out?  Can you see anything abnormal looking in or around her gums etc.?  Probably best to get some vet advice on it.
