My friend brought over a very sweet stray kitten on Friday but because I can't take her in because I don't have the room, she would've had to stay outside. Well, the animal loving managers took her in. She ran off the next morning. I knew she would resurface when she felt comfortable again. She did today. I called her and she came running... I took her to Doc A's to be evaluated for surgery and for his adoption program. We set an appointment. He didn't feel she would be highly adoptable because of her all black coloring.  But she is very sweet and pretty otherwise.  He estimates her to be about 4 months old. She is twice Tyrion's size and possibly younger. This made me tear up for some reason when it was brought up? Doc A looked at me and said "No reason to be upset. Tyrion is a very healthy and very happy little guy. He's just small but no different from other kitties his age."

Well, I took her back home and talked to the managers to see if they still wanted her. They decided she didn't like them so "No." They are animal lovers but know dogs and not cats so they based her reactions from a dogs point of view and not a cats. I recalled some other neighbors that love cats and have wanted one, a black one, since their all black male died a year ago. So I offered her to them. They fell in love with her and gladly accepted!! Her name is Nedgra now. I am so happy I was able to help her!! It warmed my heart to see such happiness in my neighbors faces!

Nice!   So in the end it was well the managers did say that No.  As otherwise finding of a adoption home "end consumer" would be delayed.

Your story here confirms my belief.  If you, the founder / rescuer /owner seeking a new home for your cat, can find on your own a good adoption home, it is often / usually better than to find her a place in a shelter. Even if it is a good no kill shelter "cat home"  with a very good rate of finding adoption homes.

A "Cat home"  is NOT the same as the cats home with an "end consumer".   So to speak.     :)

Well done, good work!
