I haven't caught a pic of it yet, but she'll sit like this and turn her head all the way to the side - I guess to get a different perspective on what she's looking at. But it is toooooo cute! I'll snap the pic at the right time one of these days.

Laurie, she's so beautiful!! You know, even 1000+ miles away, she has me wrapped around her little dewclaw.
She looks a lot better than when you first brought her home, and no wonder with all those horrible worms in her system. But she's happy now.

That's cute! But no - neither Gary or I seem to be good with one syllable cat names, LOL! Actually, we call her all kinds of names - the usual - Sweetie, Cutie, Cutie-pie, Little darling, Little girl.... But we also call her Blueberry (she's got the one beautiful blue eye), little lumpkin, daddy's little scarf girl (she loves to sleep on his chest all the way up at his neck, kind of wrapped around like a scarf), little nutcase (she runs around like a maniac bonking out when she gets overtired or overstimulated with all the new stuff here), bonkerina (same reason), etc. She's precious.

What a sweet little baby. Her story saddens me and makes me happy at the same time
Me too. MA suggested we call her "Bittersweet," or "Bitters" for short, which I liked. But it was too... bittersweet, LOL! We wanted her to just have a happy name.

Hopefully now that the worms are gone, she'll start to gain some much needed weight. One of the advantages of keeping her set-up in the bathroom at night and for parts of the day is that she can free-feed. No one else here can because of Tuxedo's strict diet.

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww she is so beautiful! Bless you guys for taking her in.

I absolutely love deaf cats, Kahu is a great blessing - they are so curious and so fearless, and SOOOOO much fun!

May you have wonderful times with sweet wee Flowerbelle!

LOL! He IS such a doting dad! He cuddles Tuxedo just like a baby - and Tuxedo loves it. And it is amazing having this white kitty around. We've had a tough couple of days work-wise. Each time he gets off a really stressful call, and he's mad or swearing about something - all I have to do these days is say - go see Flowerbelle! And his face lights up and he says, Yeah - and bolts back into the bedroom or bathroom, wherever she is. He ALWAYS calls me in there - "Look at this! She's so cute!" It used to be MaeMae that did this for him - but Mae is busy terrorising her new mom now, right Colby?

And Kellye - I was really worried at first. But Heidi provided some links, and I went snooping around TCS looking for the threads on deaf kitties, and your help has been a godsend! First of all, she is so much more easy going than the other cats. Ours are all ferals, and they can be on edge from the littlest noise (although they're comfortable enough now to sleep through a lot of it). But she just doesn't have that! It is strange to watch her though - her ears almost never move. I never noticed how much the other kitties' ears move around all the time!

And I don't know if she has extra- sensitive "vibration" sensation or what - but I always forget to make sure she sees me first, and I reach out to touch her - and she doesn't freak out. Only once did this happen, and she only jumped, she didn't completely freak. I wonder if she knows we're there? Maybe she can smell us or something.

I think deaf cats have great instincts - Kahu will be sleeping in the closet and somehow he knows that we are home....its interesting.
But I love him to bits LOL
