I was supposed to take him last week but I sprained my ankle so he had to wait. I'm starting to grow the suspicion that his licking stems from tooth pain. That tooth I saw in the back did not look happy. I'd be stressed too if that was in my mouth. Either way, I hope this gives him some relief and puts more bounce in his step.
I felt so bad about not feeding him this morning. He was already hungry at 4am and by 6 he kept looking at me like "Hello? Arent you forgetting something woman??"
Hopefully he's not too grumpy at me when I pick him up. >__

Oh, I just hate that too....especially since the other cats have to eat.  Hope you are home and eating soon, Grim.

:vibes: :vibes: :vibes: :vibes: :vibes: he's home soon! When Chum had three teeth extracted earlier this year, he didn't want to eat right away. I gave him smaller meals more frequently over the next day. AND he wanted to drink water - which he never does! The anesthesia dries them out.

He'll feel SO much better without that tooth!

Thanks everyone! :)
Luckily he didn't need to have any teeth extracted, they just gave him a real good cleaning and said he's got pearly whites now. I imagine it'll take a few days for his gums to cool down because they were pretty inflamed in some areas before. But I'm positive he'll have some much needed relief.
He hasn't eaten since 7pm last night but he was So groggy when I got him home he just laid down and didn't try to do much. I made sure he settled in okay but then I had to leave to go with my grandparents to meet my uncle at the airport. I can't wait to get back home and give him lots of love and food yummies. I can't imagine he won't have an appetite. :lol3:

I'm totally done with this vet though, I wrote a whole new thread about it..

Awwww, poor baby! But that's great news he didn't need the tooth pulled! From the description, it sure sounded like it needed to come out. So this'll still be an easier recovery! :hugs: :rub: :) ( :cross: :vibes: , just for "insurance." )

Is it normal for him to still be groggy?? He got out of 'surgery' at noon and now it's past midnight and he's still wobbly on his back legs. He's very quiet and didn't ask for food when I got home earlier. He only ate after I added a cat treat on top and he ate very very slowly. His third eyelids aren't showing anymore, but I can see him visibly sway even when he's just trying to sit up like he's got vertigo.
*worried*

Is he on pain medication? Maybe this is from it?

The receptionist said they would only be giving him pain meds if he had an extraction and he didn't have any.
He ate maybe a 4th of a can earlier, but he's been sleeping for the past 5 hours after that... I am still worried...
