Not exactly a cat health issue, but be careful in your choice of where to put your cat while applying Advantage.  OH and I just treated both our cats and had them up on a plastic chair to do so.  One of them shook immediately after, and the chair is now permanently stained.  It's the Tobias chair by Ikea, and it's clear.  There's a very obvious splatter pattern that can be seen from both sides.  We've tried every type of solvent we can think of, and none have made a difference.  I suspect there's something in the Advantage that actually corroded the plastic.  Seriously annoyed right now.

So beware!  It's not just obvious surfaces like fabric or leather that can be stained.  Certain plastics can be as well.

Yeah, I think it's the alcohol they put in it to make it dry faster. It does ruin some plastics and the finish on wood furniture. All brands, not just Advantage.
