OMG guys...my dog Mandy is really sick! She been throwing up & had diahreah all day. We noticed that there was blood in her stool! She's just not acting right at all. No energy what so ever, but her appetite is still good. Mom's taking her to the vet in the morning. I'm just so sad right now...Mom's crying like crazy & I'm on the verge at this point. Mom thinks she's dying...I dunno, but I'm praying she doesn't go. I told Mom to call the vet at home, but she said that she's not sure if they'd even look at her. I'm sure they would...any true animal loving vet would.

Please, guys...send some major vibes this way! Please pray that we don't lose are precious Pomerianan Mandy tonight!

Shell is there something toxic she could have gotten into? How old is she? You can give her a little bit of milk to settle her stomach, but not to much. It could just be a worm infestation. Good luck at the vets tomorrow.

I can't think of anything that she could have gotten into. No one was home yesterday, so she could have gotten into something then. But we didn't find anything.
She's 10 years old...almost 11. I didn't notice any worms in her stool...just bright red poop. I gagged when I seen it...talk about nasty!

Thanks MA & Sess!
I just pray that she's going to be ok!

I just talked this over with Mom. We can't think of anything that she could have gotten into. But I did realize that she was scratching an awful lot today. I've been treating all the animals with Advantage, but they are not due for their treatment until the 22nd. Mom gave her a bath on Saturday & combed her out. She's been fine until this morning. Mom said that she searched her high & low for fleas, but didn't find any. I don't know if there's any connection or not...just makes me wonder though!

OMG! Mom just told me she used Human shampoo on her instead of dog shampoo! I just looked at the ingredients...I don't even know what the hell I'm looking for! I remember reading that tea tree oil is toxic to cats, but it's it toxic to dogs? I didn't see that listed...but maybe it's listed under a different name!

OMG! Please tell me this isn't happening!

Hissy, she won't drink the milk btw...

Sending positive healing vibes to Mandy!

If your veterinary clinic has either call forwarding or an after hours number, please call them tonight. You should at least be able to get some information from a vet over the phone, and this should help you and your mom feel a little better about poor Mandy.

Mom just got off the phone with the Vet. He said not to give her any food or water for tonight. He said that we need to bring her in a 7:30 in the morning & he'll take a look at her then. He also said to make her as comfortable as we can. Also he said that we should give her a teaspoonful of Pepto to calm her tummy, but if she throws it up don't give her any more.

He didn't seem too worried about it, so maybe we're just jumping to conclusions.

Thank you everyone for the vibes & thoughts. Mom & I really appreciate them all! I'll keep you all informed on what happens!

Shell, I am so glad that your mom called the vet. Now you will be more at ease tonight, and 7.30 tomorrow morning is not that far away.
I really hope she will start feeling better!

It is? How? In what way? I use Tea Tree Oil quite some, and I even have this petvipe product, that´s with TT Oil, it has a picture of a cat and a dog on it! I haven´t used it for some time thought, I bought it to clean Pollýanna´s behind, when her anal glands always clogged up. She has now had an operation to remove them, so I stopped cleaning her behind

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but isn't that the stuff that Hissy thinks her Groomer used when she took Bartee in. If you don't know, Bartee passed away right after that.
I'd have to search the forums to be 100% positive...someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Don't use it until you find out if it's toxic, ok?

I actually don´t use it on the cats themselves (except for those wibes), I use it more, diluted, to clean after catvommit, or when Pollýanna used to drag her behind along the floor, lieving a long line of
, or other accidents.
But those wibes contain it.
