Tippy is afraid of our lawn guy!

Tippy has never been afraid of anything since she came to live with us. But lately she's getting a little picky and stand-offish. Guess she's just settled in here so well that she has lost her extreme curiosity. Oh she's still very very friendly but not quite as much as before.

Brad, our new lawn man, is 6'10" - (we call him the jolly green giant). He loves animals and after he cuts the grass he usually comes in to chat and for some cold water. Angel likes him a lot and doesn't avoid him. But Angel likes men better than women! This morning he went over to say hi to Tippy and pet her and she just flew away from him. Maybe his enormous size frightens her , but it's really strange to see her run away from anyone! Tony, of course, hides from "everyone" except Paul, me and our neighbor who kitty sits when we're on vacation.

Maybe she didn't like the smell of him either. :dk:

I think you're right about his size scaring her.  When I was looking for a new cat and adopted Sweetie several years ago, the lady at the shelter had me sit on the floor to interact with the cats instead of towering over them.  She said cats can get intimidated because of our much larger size
