Hi everyone!
I am here to introduce myself, or rather, my kitties
I'll first tell you about Nicolai and Sascha, who I rescued a few months ago from the humane society. They are Snowshoe Siamese (seal point), brother & sister, and about 2.5 years old. Their previous owner had a debilitating stroke and ended up having to go into an assisted living home. From what I had learned about him, he had 2 other siamese before these 2 (he had their urns displayed in his home) so they were with someone who I believe had a love for cats and took very good care of them. They look to be purebred, but the circumstances of how they ended up in a shelter leave any kind of papers MIA.
Now I didn't know anything about siamese cats prior to adopting them, so I did some research to find out all about them, their personality traits, etc. The snowshoes are talkative, but on a very much more subdued level than the traditional siamese. Sweet, gentle, soft mews, and even quieter yowling. The one siamese trait that they are very much to the T on is with bonding with their human! Since the day I brought them home, they love to be near me, and if they have it their way, they would be ON me, 24/7. And having recently lost my baby of 15 years (he died while under anesthesia when I took him in to get his teeth cleaned), their love and affection was just what I needed. And since they just lost their previous owner, they needed some love and affection right back! It was kismet that I found them and rescued them.
Nicolai and Sascha are their original names. I didn't feel the need to rename them once I adopted them, since I thought they were actually pretty unique names, and I figured I would keep true to their original owner.

About 2 months later, I adopted Romy, also rescued from the humane society but just at a different location. I don't know why I didn't ask about his history and how he came to be at a shelter, so I don't really have much of a story on him. All I know is that he was in a foster home prior to being brought to the shelter once he was ready to be adopted out. I guess I was enamored in all of his cuteness that I just didn't concern myself with the backstory, I just wanted to get him out of the shelter and into a good home
He's about 5 months old now, and is a longhair siamese mix (they told me he was a longhair, but I think he's more of a medium hair). I think he's what they refer to as a lynx-point. I originally thought blue-point, but he's got the stripings on his legs. It was actually him that brought me to this site, because I am noticing some behavioral issues (biting, and food issues) so I googled help on those topics which brought me here to these forums.
They had named him "Huck" at the shelter, so yes, I did rename him! LOL
Oh, and I almost forgot, he's polydactyl! He's all kinds of special
So that's it for now. I look forward to meeting everyone!
