Hello,

This is my first time in this forum and it's a great site.

I'm a student and I'm living alone. Although we've had cats before in my families. This is my first cat whom I'm raising alone.

From about 3, 4 days I've noticed he's having a bad smell coming from his mouth. Although it seemed normal for an animal i thought it's nothing and then when I opened his mouth today I saw him on the bottom right side he has a brown colored tooth which is also loose. All his other teeth are normal colored (whitish less yellowish). Please can someone give me what might be the cause and whether I should or not take him to a vet or is this normal or something common which doesn't need a vet's attention.

Thanks in advance.

With love from Milan, Italy

PS. My cat is about 6 months old. So therefore he's a kitten i guess :)

Could be a baby tooth that never fell out and is now rotting. I would get him to the vet and have it removed.

Hello and welcome to The Cat Site.  I am sorry your first post had to be here with a problem.  However, I am in agreement with the advice you have already received.  Let the vet examine the cat's mouth.  You will find lots of useful information here.  If you have questions feel free to ask.

Odd that it would be just one tooth, but the suggestions above are probably good guesses, at least.
