HI,

We have a five year old Maine coon and a two year old giant Maine Coon.  And DAD Border Collie, diabetic Alert Dog in training.

A busy and loving pet household.

We train our dog and love our cats.  Our Maine coons are very affectionate and loving.

It took some time but finally the cats have accepted our new puppy.  YES!!

Lots of patience and gentle redirection...especially for the puppy.

I have a daughter with type 1 diabetes and the cats and dog have alerted several times to critical lows during the nights.

To own pets is to know love and laughter.

Hi, welcome to TCS!  I look forward to seeing pictures of your pets.  It's very interesting about having a diabetic alert dog.  Are you training him yourself?

Yes, we are training our dad dog. I have taken several dog classes and found a forum online to assist with scent training.
It takes work, training with scents, daily exercises...simply uses Pavlov theory.

I know Maine coons can be trained, similiar to dogs...I have not mastered that one.
