So far a nice fall here in NC. Still getting up to the mid 70's-low 80's. It cools down at night to 58-60, so far. It's been really nice to be able to have the widows open, especially at night!

Angel loves to sit up in the widow sills, now that he's indoor only!

Fall is my favorite time of year, I hope we have a long one!

This thread makes me laugh. A couple of years ago I bought some duvet covers in a heavy dark blue flannel with snowflakes on them, and they're so thick that neither one of us can bear sleeping under them, even though we never heat the bedroom and have at least one balcony door open in dead winter. Every time I read "flannel with snowflakes" I think to myself that I have to give those covers to somebody who loves to go camping in the winter.

It's in the high 60s here during the day, but pretty cool at night. The fall storms are starting.

It usually manages to hit -18°C (-0.4°F) or lower here in winter, but even then those covers are too heavy to use inside. Even Jamie finds them too warm, and he likes to lie right over the radiators. :lol3: Now I know why they were on sale.

It got down to near freezing at night last weekend and I had to put the quilt on the bed.  Moose slept under the blankets all night; when he does this I know winter is coming!

i'm  waiting to see what matt does this winter....last year he was a stray, brought in in January.....we got him in February. my last cat used to like to sleep up in the ductwork in the basement.........i wonder if Matt will too? He sleeps in his carrier a lot, cozy with a blanket, so maybe we'll just locate that near a heating vent
i have my heavy blankets out now for my bed

For the flannel sheets with snowflakes, check JC Penny. We've had ours for several years now and they're still nice and comfy.
:clap: Will do!!! Anything to keep me cool at night :lol3: Thanks, could use another set of sheets for winter! :cold: :bigthumb:

I love this weather. :D. Like Tricia we keep a window open in the bedroom most of the year. I have started wearing socks to bed some of these cooler nights though. :lol3:

I'm kind of jealous (as usual
)  We're still sleeping with just a light sheet on, the a/c is still coming on at night, and we're still turning on the ceiling fan in the bedroom.  I'd kind of like it to cool down a bit
.  Just a bit.  No ice on the windshields or anything crazy like that!    Oh well, this morning it was actually beautiful outside instead of beastly hot!  That's a good sign

I wish it would cool down a bit here. We had some nice cool fall weather briefly but it has since gone back to 80. It does get cooler at night and I sleep with the window open. Come winter weather if we actually get any this year, I have a heated mattress pad and that thing is heaven when it is cold out.

OMG Sally, I would be a crabby B if it was that hot here. I can't take another 90 degree day. I will just explode. It has been absolutely gorgeous here - sixties and sunny all week. :woohoo:

I'm not sure I even know what winter is any more. :lol3: I keep my a/c set at about 82 during the summer. It's only the last 4-5 days I haven't had to turn the a/c on at all.

I have my Santa Teddy Bear fleece sheets on my bed now. My mom just put her snowman ones on. I've also taken out my heavy, uber soft, uber fluffy white blanket for under my comforter. So cozy!! Now I am nice and toasty. With the exception of my feet. No matter how cold it gets in my room I HAVE to keep my feet out from the blankets. My feet are constantly cold at night. #WeirdoProblems
