I changed the bedsheets this morning......to a set of flannel sheets.

But at least they're not the ones with the snow flakes!!!

I always use flannel sheets. I think they're cooler in the summer, too---smooth sheets are so. . .sticky. But I haven't put on the snowflake sheets yet either! :lol3:

We switched to winter duvet covers last week, but are still using the summer duvets. It's supposed to be fairly mild for another week.

I've had to close my bedroom window!

I used to have a heated blanket but I think something was wrong with the wiring on one side (dual control), because when I had my legs under one side of the blanket when it was on, my feet really started to ache, but it didn't happen on the other side. Took me a couple weeks to figure it out, so I threw the blanket out.  I definitely have to get another one. But I'm waiting until I'm sure there are no bedbugs in my place from that last spraying last month.  Warmth draws them, so before I put another heated blanket on, I'm going to make sure there are not bugs.

For the flannel sheets with snowflakes, check JC Penny. We've had ours for several years now and they're still nice and comfy.

Last night, BooBoo was the first one to notice the flannel sheets on the bed. He started meowing (I swear to let the other kids know it was flannel time!) and pretty soon, one by one, the kids came back and crashed on the bed. And once they got back there, they didn't budge for the rest of the night. Even Muffin held her ground against Mollipop....and I was surprised. Evidently flannel beats hissy fits. All eight cats were in bed with me. All night long.

When I left for work this morning at 7:00, it was 43 degrees F. I am not amused.

I have restrained from turning the heat on, but have pulled out the fleece jacket, fuzzy socks, long sleeved gown, and fleece throws. :cold:

ever notice how there's always someone from Florida to tel us how warm it is there?
I have a friend in Miami that I talk to about once a week, and he rubs it in all winter.  Of course, when it is 72 clear and crisp here, and 90 with 90% humidity there, I get back at him.

I actually don't like the weather here at all (and I'm native-born!). I'd trade places with one of you Yankees in a heartbeat.

Your Florida comments really made me laugh. When we first moved to Florida I sent a funny Florida postcard to a friend in NJ and he talked about it for years and years. It was one of those "you're freezing but we're in the sun" type of cards.

You're all welcome to come visit us and warm up! I just would love to be in NY or someplace cold at Christmastime! It's just not Christmas down here --- Santa in Bermuda shorts at the mall? Something is wrong.

I hate humidity so I wouldn't want to live in Florida. I'd rather put up with winter than humidity all year. But snow is certainly inconvenient.

I don't have my heat on yet either, but I did get my fuzzy socks and fleece jacket out.  It sounds like we might have a nice long mild fall here this year.
