my cat, snickers, is pregnant and no one in my family has any idea when she got pregnant! i searched ways to tell, and most sights said something about when she produces milk it means she has about 24-48 hours but it has been about 5 days since i noticed her milk, although, some sites said with cats that had more than 1 litter their milk will come even earlier and this will be her 3rd litter unfortunately! i believe she is about 8.5 to 9 weeks pregnant but im not posistive! please help!

They can bag up a week before or a day before, most symptoms are very general but there's no doubt you'll know when she is in labour.

Some cats nest before hand, have you got a box set up for her in a quiet place? Some go off their food the day before, others eat right up until delivery. Many are very clingy a day or so before, not wanting you to leave.

You need to be present at the birth to ensure all goes well, to count the placentas and make sure all are delivered, ensure all the kittens are born easily and breathing.

Lots of good info here: http://www.fabcats.org/breeders/infosheets/breeding_from_your_cat/felineparturition.html

Hopefully you'll be getting her and the kittens neutered after this litter.

thank you so much! yes, she is usually standoffish but she is definitely enjoying all the love and attention! and yes i will most definitely be getting her spayed and encourage the kittens new owners to do so as well! the kittens are moving around now more than ever and she licks her tummy a lot! as far as eating she only nibbles at her food now and shes also more thirsty now!

also, her breathing increases a bit but then goes back to normal and all she's doing is laying down so its not like she does anything that makes her short of breath, does that mean anything?
