Anyone ever visited the site TheLuckyFew.org? Since I'm new to this forum, I'm not sure if anyone has posted this before, but this site contains what I feel has been the most helpful online article about cat taming I have found so far... mostly in that it has a warm and reassuring tone.

I like that the author breaks down the process into three basic objectives or mantras:
1. Trust. I must show the cat that I can be trusted
2. Goodness. I want the cat to learn that good things happen when I am around.

3. Pace: Too fast and the cat is nervous. Just right and the cat actually enjoys the process. There is no “too slow”.
I also like the analogy of the Alaskan Brown bear enclosure to help put things into perspective of the cat, plus I like the tips on how to read body language so that I know when the kitty may be ready for another phase in taming. It has certainly given me some reassurance in my own taming process with Moonshine.

Check it out if you haven't already: http://www.theluckyfew.org/site/feral_cats.html

Thanks!!! Yes, that was very informative. :bigthumb: I couldn't agree more that there should never be "too slow" in all aspects of socializing. The more tips you can learn the better. :vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes: for Moonshine :rub:
