Also forgot to mention that he's only 6 months so his pattern isn't completely defined yet
Yeah, I can easily imagine he has an Bengal Ancestor, not very far.  A granddad as longest.

But he is hardly a purebred bengal, the marbles arent refined enough.

Well his personality is defiantely not a tabby.. Lol. He doesn't even meow like normal cats, he chirps and yells. He fits all the traits personality wise that a Bengal cat has including loving car rides, loving kids, loves to be up high, gets into stuff, VERY active. He's very dog like. He ate a mouse in one bite and he loves to eat moths and June bugs.
Those pictures were taken when he was 4 months old. His marbling is started to become defined.. Inside of marbling is getting lighter, with a dark edge surrounding them. He may only be 3/4 Bengal, maybe only 1/2, or even 4/4, won't know for sure unless I get a DNA test. Vets think he's a Bengal. I believe he's the "bulls eye" marble Bengal pattern that isn't desired, so a breeder threw him in a shelter because he wasn't up to "code". His vet papers say Bengal, was just seeing what other people's opinions are:)

Whatever he is, is is adorable.  He will bring you many years of  happiness.  My two cats are now 2 years old, and I smile everyday when I come home from work and they're waiting at the door for me.  Bengal or Not, our kitties bring joy to our lives.  I'm sure you could care less about the amount of Bengal he may or may not be.  Shame on those people that may have put him in the shelter for those reasons.  Enjoy every minute with him, because just like our children, they grow up too fast.

Same answer as for many others here: at this moment you must see him as a classic tabby, but its very possible he has a bengal Ancestor, a marbled bengal.  A granddad perhaps, possible one parent, but I dont think so.

His marble is more striking than in most classic tabby, that is why I cant rule out a bengal Ancestor.   I will even put it a shade stronger - I really think he has an marbled bengal Ancestor.

This is a good pic! Now I can guess for sure he has a marble Bengal ancestor.  A bengal mix for real.

Hey all! My husband and I adopted this pretty girl from Petsmart recently, and everyone keeps asking us if she is part Bengal. From what I have read, it is hard to say wit out knowing her background. Her sister had a marble reddish look. Part of me thinks she may just be a gorgeous tabby, but I am not so sure! Just wanted opinions. [emoji]128522[/emoji] We love her to death either way. She is the biggest sweetheart and cuddle bug!

I  agree, here must be some bengal Ancestry, not very far ago.  Grandparents as the longest afar.  But not impossible natural dau of a bengal tom.

I think  spotted tabby dominates over marble tabby - although both are dominant as such.  Perhaps somebody made a mesaliance mating of a spotted bengal with a marbled bengal... And these are the granddaus of this connection.

Thank you for the reply! Yes she seems to have some sort of Bengal ancestry! Just hard to tell for sure...
