I got some pumpkin to give to my boys sometimes when I get crazy about poos.  How do you guys keep the pumpkin staying good. I opened the can and then put it into a container and into the fridge.  Is this good enough?

That is exactly what I have been doing. I use one of those glass containers with the airtight lid. I have kept the pumpkin in the fridge for up to two or more weeks with no problem. I hope that is alright too. :lol3: I usually use up a can within two weeks time anyway. I have wondered the same thing but never asked!!

Put the pumpkin into an ice tray - freeze it just until it is solid - do not freeze too much so it doesn't freezer burn. Put inside a freezer-safe ziplock bag, and toss it in the freezer.

Defrost a cube at a time in the fridge to use it for a couple of days - you will always have fresh pumpkin, and no spoilage ;)

I do the ice cube trays too. And I use Farmer's Market Organic Pumpkin because their cans are not lined with BPA. The organic is twice the cost of the Libby's but I only use it for one cat, one tablespoon a day, so the expense is not huge.

Thanks for the solution. I'll put in a ice tray today.  :-)
