Shadow of the Vampire

I finally saw Shadow of the Vampire!!! LOVED IT!!! It is absolutely hilarious, I found it very funny, but only those who like that kind of quirky humor could enjoy it I think. Dafoe was excellent as Nasferatu!!!!! I can't decide which was my favorite line, so far what Tybalt mentioned in my vampire movie thread about the script girl "I'll eat her later" which at the time I had not seen the movie, but now seeing it, it was funny!!!! Or the one where he wanted makeup!!! The whole movie was funny and I love Malkovich as usual, his whole obsession about directing the movie even after all his crew members are dead!!! LOL!!! There aren't enough pics to do funny screencaps, but I really liked it. Thought I share!

It is an excellent movie. Dafoe looked so much like Max Schreck its almost uncanny! I watched this then Nosteratu. Very interesting. The similarities between the two are quite amazing.

I love this movie! Jellybelly, you and I must have a similar sense of humor-the friends I saw it with thought it was stupid and I laughed throughout the whole thing. But, did anyone else feel sad for Nosferatu at the end? I still do.

Dafoe should have won the Academy Award for this role.

Well I felt bad for Dafoe's character but at the same time I understood his need to end it, living for 400 plus years with no friends, can't eat or enjoy real food, etc, kinda made me understood why he went towards the sunlight.

Which Nosferatu movie are you guys talking about?

Never mind, ran a search and picked it up. Seems Roger Ebert liked it a lot. Will rent all though I may have seen it already when I was little.
