I've put this up on tons of Help websites but I Dont expect to get any response anytime soon but I Have this stray kitten I picked up 5 months ago off the street, we dont have any Animal houses here and I Had to take care of the little critter, I Had friends over 2 days ago And he dissapperaed I Only found him the next day after extremely exhausting and troubelsome search around the entire district I Found the little fella beaten up, hit, wounded, shaking, I Took him to the vet and he gave him two shots and a bunch of medications, he added that he had fever, I Gave him his medications this morning and just right now its afternoon and he was literally going on a seizeure all over the place when I Went in to check on him. i Held him down to prevent him from running into anything, Look I live in saudi arabia and we dont have any good Animal service here and The vets I Took him to only gave me meds for his eyes and another med for his fever and two shots, one of them gave him a nerve shot saying he got hit with something on his head and now he's having another crazy seizeure and I Dont know what to do some help needed lease Respond quickly please!

Ring the vets.  You have a sick kitty, we are not vets, even if we are we would be doing diagnosis via the Internet which isn't reliable.

Better to take him to the vet even if it means putting him to sleep to end his suffering. Whatever his illness/injury, only they can tell you for sure and how serious it is.

Already took him to the vet twice, He gave the little critter two shots and meds for his eyes which are infected and his fever to cool him down, I Found him in a seizure this morning And took him Again and this one gave him more shots and told me he might've been hit in the nerves, I lost this little fella two days ago, when a bunch of people came over and Found him violently beaten and wounded and bruised, I Feel sorry for him, who ever did this if I Ever find out is gonna get the last end of this

I Think my problem is solved now. thanks for your help, he's having a fever which might come with seizures And I'm trying to get him through this with the meds the vets gave me. veternary service here is'n as dedicated and extensive as in whatever country you might live in, I Live in saudi arabia, I Am still worried about him, can this fever go away? My confidence is entirely in him having a fever And that the medications will cure him, I'll try to take him to the vet again tonight

cheers and thx

It sounds like you're doing the best you can.

Yes, a fever can cause seizures, both in animals and humans.  In addition, if it was very hot where you are, he may have gotten a bit of heat stroke.  Carefully keep him inside.  Try to make sure he drinks enough water.  Wet food (like a pate cat food) can help with the water intake.  Keep him as quiet as possible until he's feeling better.  To some extent, his activity level will tell you how well he feels.  Sick cats tend to be very quiet and still.

Do you think one of your friends took him and hurt him?

He does'n drink or eat, he is almost out of vision, he barely ever moves, I am keeping him in Mid-tempertures but will make them a bit more colder If that helps, I only give him milk But I Will see if he takes water when he wakes up, he's sleeping right now

I Dont know and not sure, He might've run into a bunch of troubled people in the streets, apart from that the streets here have lots of stray cats, we dont have anyone who picks them up, they are free to roam

thanks for confirming this I Now pour my whole stress down on the fact that this is fever seizure, It can go away right? And it is'n really a damage in his nerve system? this is just messed up beyond recognition i dont know how to take it out

Yes, if you can get it goat's milk might help.  You may have to "force feed" him; kittens who don't eat or drink can die very quickly, or at least have permanent kidney and liver damage.  Force feeding usually just involves squirty some fairly liquid food (such as the goat's milk, or wet food with a lot of water in it) in the corner of their mouth, so they will swallow it.

Here is a video of our own Carolina (member here) feeding her cat that did not want to eat.

guys I Am panicking again, His body heat is drastically low compared to when he is lively, I am Reluctant to increasing the room cool because of this, I Managed to get him to drink milk, I Am not certain it is cow milk or not but it most likely is since all milk here is cow milk, its not directly milk, Its powder milk and he's been drinking it since I picked him up. he drank reluctantly, I Had to hold him still and keep him standing in order to drink, he is not moving at all, he's been laying down all day long, making those engine sounds they do when sleepy, I Feel sad to see him like this, I Remeber when he was a lively little critter, I Hope I See him like this tomorrow

Night is approaching and I Am constantly begotten by the fear of him not waking up in the morning, I Dont know what to do, vets have already closed when I Tried to take him there, but he already took shots previously and now I Gave him his medication 2nd time in day (doctor says 2 times a day) its a pink fluid called betamox. half a Mle.

Exciting news! I just gave the little critter his med and gave him milk and he just got up! he say me bringing the betamox box when He started moving his head, I Thought that was surprisingly active considering he never ever moves, Suddenly he was all over the place walking and following me, he starting having trouble standing and walking but he slowly perfected it and started moving around freely, I Toured him for a bit around the house, he walked around for a while into every room and now I Took him to my bed, he's laying with me, The room temprature here is much cooler, not freezing but cool

I Am showing him my budgies (I Own six) To cheer him up, he always liked chasing them, "Chher up! Yummy budgies, but you cant eat them :D" He did'n chase them though, and now he's laying down lazily again, this was definitely a good sign though, I now feel like this is just a regular old fever thats gonna end by dawn! Fevers cant kill, right?

This is good to hear.  I hope he's turned the corner on this.  I know a lot of countries in the world are not as concerned about cats as most English speaking countries are.  This has to do with our history, of course.

Please keep us updated.

I hope this means his fever has broken, & is on the mend.
It's also best to give the cat water, not milk, or milk substitute. Cats are naturally lactose intolerant, & you don't want to add tummy trouble

on top of everything else. I hope he is eating now & will get back more strength to continue getting better.

yes today I Woke up and he was much much better and lively, he wanted to get out of his bed and move Around, I Moved him around for a bit and than he decided to loose around the house himself, his fever is coming to the end

thank you very much very very much for your help & support. When I picked the little fellow up He was too little for water I Considered, I Gave him milk to grow in power. his eyes were bleeding and he had no sights for a few days until he was able to see, it was a very very hot day and I Surmise the sun did this

I Tried giving him water a while after I adopted him, he rejected it over milk, he has been drinking only milk ever since But I Will try to give him water from now on.

pofdkgopdfokpkgpdfokkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkoooooooog

I Put him on the keyboard and this is what he sends to you :D Thank you guys, alot

He shouldn't need water as well as milk.  If you fill him up with water it's like diluting the milk - he won't get enough nutrition.  Add a little water to his milk if he gets constipated.  You need to rub his anus before and after every feed to get him to urinate and pass faeces.

The medicine is an antibiotic and it's very important to finish the course.

Since he is starting to walk, let him investigate a dish with a little tinned cat food in, and rub a little on his paws.  If he was with his mother he would see her eating and copy her, but they also start by investigating food and cleaning themselves.

Once he is growing well ask the vet about worming him, or buy some Panacur on the internet.

Do weigh him every day at about the same time and keep a record.  He should put 10g or more on every day.

Oh he is'n actually that Little, he already eats cat food and Urinates, I Was actually concerned about that issue of little kittens not being able to Urinate/do their needs without their mothers but I've picked this little fella up before summer but thanks for the help friend this would've been of most value when I picked him up early

I Think he has Diaorrhea right now but not sure, I Will take him to the vet again to ask him there

hey can I Give the little fellow a shower from now?

:clap::clap::clap: that he's feeling better!

Cats are very good about keeping themselves very clean, so they don't normally need any help from us unless they get into paint or something else they shouldn't be allowed to lick. He really shouldn't be bathed until he's fully recovered, if at all.

Cows milk will give most cats/kittens diarrhea, so it would be a good idea to reduce that and concentrate on wet food.

So glad to hear he's doing better.
