Ok hey everyone my wife and I have acquired 2 Siamese kittens and we have oh so many questions.

From what I understand the cats are only 3/4's Siamese so no pedigree or papers
The dad was "said" to be half Siamese half dsh blue or something. Not sure if blue is a color pattern I just remember the lady saying that's how they brought the blue into the Siamese breed.
The mother was a seal point. I'll post up pics Of the parents after I go upload.
They will be 10 weeks old on tuesday

Today they just received they're first shots and de-worming.
They were rather groggy today and even slept a little more then usual.
Is this normal after they're first shots?

Also we have been giving them natural balance rabbit formula treats
About 2-3 a day each.
Is this to many? Is it possible to give them more (they really go crazy well, crazier then normal after them)
As for food we got the kittens at 8 weeks and they had been weened off mom to friskies seafood sensations.
We have since moved them to innova kitten hard...
But after research I'd like to get them on to wet food
And I'm not really sure how to go about it.
I've been lurking on the site since we got our babies
And it seems there is plenty of information here so I appreciate all responses

First of all, welcome to TCS!  Secondly...Pictures!  We need pictures!

It sounds like you're doing your best for your little fuzzies.  Breeders here can tell you about the color patterns, but essentially, the "pointed" color genes are a mutation that makes the fur color temperature-dependent.  The kittens are born off-white, and as they grow fur in a cooler environment than mom's womb, the cooler parts turn darker.

Are they typically "talky?"  That is one trait that seems to go with the breed.

Hey welcome to the site!

I agree pictures are needed.:D

To answer your questions being sleepy after receiving vaccinations is completely normal, in fact I actually expect it. As for the treats I am a sucker and tend to give more than 2-3 treats, I am unfamiliar with the kind of treat you give but I am sure giving them a few extra would be ok. To put them on wet food I would start giving them some and just increase. You could start another thread in the nutrition forum about the treats and wet food to get more advice.

I agree that you can probably increase the treats a little w/o incident. As far as feeding wet food just keep the dry out for a few days for free-feeding and feed them 3 or 4 small meals of wet. Don't be afraid of them eating too much. They need lots of nutrition at this point. Continue to increase the wet until they are no longer eating much dry. Then remove it totally.

Meezers are very active and need plenty of nutrition. My Siamese kitten ate a ton more than my adult cat. I also have a new DLH kitten and she eats like a bird compared to my little meezer too.

Like the previous poster said, if they have a lot of Siamese in them, they will be talkers. Sometimes it's quite loud :D

Hi, welcome to TCS!  Kittens and cats often do seem a bit lethargic after getting their shots.

to TCS! Those two are really adorable. If they go so crazy over the treats, you could try putting a couple of treats on top of some wet Innova, since they're used to that brand of dry, to get them to try it. They might even accept the canned food right away.

Yeah I planned on trying the Evo brand of wet.
Hmmm you mean put the treats on top of the wet as to entice them to eat the wet?
Yeah that's a good idea I don't think they will have a problem eating the wet though I think they'd prefer it.
We feed two strays friskies wet and we give our babies a small sliver of the pate and they go crazy for that to.
And try to take each others food.

We have since gotten more food bowls to help prevent any food aggression.
Thank you all for all the hospitality I'm sure we will learn a lot about our little guys.

Just make sure you don't let the stray cats near your little ones, they could contract a disease easily. I'd also make sure you are sanitizing any cat plates if you are feeding strays too, that was no illness can spread via dishes.

Adorable kittens. I'd say they are both Linx Point in coloration.

Blue is a colour, not a pattern. And Siamese are not outcrossed to domestics, blue already exisits in the breed.

Having a blue and seal parents, if the seal carries dilute the offspring can be blues. Your kittens appear to be dilutes and tabby, so blue tabby points.

They actually look lilac on my screen, but that's not possible from the parents listed. They also don't look like Siamese, so definitely a mix.

We thought they looked lilac too.
You don't think they look siamese??
Everyone who meets them says they look Siamese but I know they are mixed..
I thought they looked kinda lynx point-ish too.
They are 3/4 siamese are u saying that means they aren't Siamese?
Also did you see the pictures of the parents??? Mom is definitely Siamese.
Dad was said the be half...
They sure have the personalities the girl Luna is already making all kinds of noises/little barks...
And purrrrmeows? Lol when I was a kid I had a Siamese and it made all sorts of crazy noises

Edit:
I forgot to add we absolutely don't let the strays inside nor share any Plates.
What do u think about the strays being close to our metal screen door at the same time. Looking at each other the kittens are really intrigued.
The strays on the other hand aren't fond of the kittens...
Probably because they receive less attention...

You need to host the pictures on another website then copy and past the img URL. Sounds more complicated than it is really

You can upload pics via the add picture link in your message window if you are using a computer based browser. I use Tapatalk for Android however, and adding pics via Tapatalk rarely ever works.

I think tabby point and lynx point are the same. It's just US vs UK terminology. I personally think one of your cats looks a little more Siamese than the other, but I'm no expert. The one with the rounder head looks a little like an "old style" Siamese But w/o a pedigree, which these cats don't have, they are just considered DSH's w/ a little Siamese ancestory.

The kittens might be at risk of an upper respiratory infection or flea infestation through a screen door. Although I think the major illnesses such as feline leukemia and feline AIDS would not be an issue. These illnesses require physical interaction to be transmitted via blood, saliva, etc.

The mother looks like a pointed domestic.

Lynx point seems to be the American term, most other countries use tabby point.

Blues generally have a darker nose leather, sorry I wasn't thinking before, if both carry chocolate the kittens can be lilac

She also plays fetch and speaks on command..

Hey guys so i think i my have confused the breeds.

Im not sure how muchof a difference it makes but I think the lady said American shorthair.

I have since sent her an email to confirm.

They're not American Shorthairs. Some people label domestics as ASH, which is incorrect
