Cats and Laps

Just sitting here working hard on the computer, when I heard a familiar purr and looked down to see Sundar well and truely settled, curled happily on my lap.  He'd ovbiously been there a while.

Thing is, I didn't even notice him get up there.  And it's not uncommon.

How do they DO that??  

Cats can teleport themselves over short distances.  At least, that is what it seems like.

I think you're right.  They have special powers...

Our Rainbow Bridge girl, Much, would do that.  I would sit down on the couch and she'd be there on my lap.  I couldn't say when she would make her move as she was stealthy.  Towards the end, she would stare at me, willing me to sit down so she could claim her favorite spot. 

Lucy and Carly now make a big production of it and don't really settle on my lap as sweetly as she did.

LOL I know that feeling!  When mine decide they want to lay on me, they walk all over me, jump around, knead and twirl until they finally decide what to do!
