Hope this is ALMOST the end. We're tired, tired, tired of doctors. Paul had occasionally experienced numbness in his leg and twice over the last couple of years the leg gave out and he fell down. Happened when he and the lawn guy were putting up the shutters before Isaac. Now that we have a great new primary dr. she had him do an abdominal ultra sound and lower extremeties ultrasound. Abdominal was fine but lower ext. showed a blockage in the left leg which would have been the cause of the numbness. The ultrasound tec (don't know if he's a dr or not) said they put a stent in the open the blockage. We have to see his dr Thurs so we'll get the details then. Ultrasound tech said it's not an emergency but if he lets it go too long then it's harder to open the blockage. Never a dull moment! This is supposed to be our "golden years" - but we're still looking for the gold. Hope we find it soon!

Aw.  I hope and pray this is the last of it!!

My FIL had an issue with his legs a couple years ago.  I can't remember if it was a blockage or something along those lines; but my MIL (a nurse) had to give him injections for it.  He had just started his 2nd career (retired from accounting but wasn't ready to give up working altogether...what do you call that?) and really had to get used to being on his feet a lot.  He is active still and all that too.  I don't think it has come back for him thank the Lord.

I'm sorry that he is having so many health issues.

Have the doctors done an MRI of his brain and spine?  Some of the symptoms you describe sound neurological in nature, and I'm thinking that he should be checked for Multple Sclerosis.
