Took a stray kitten in

For the past two days I have been feeding this beautiful stray male kitten. He let me rub him and he just purrs all the time. He follows me to my car and inside of my house and goes right back outside. So today he followed me in my house and never left! 

There are things like Advantage and other brands for fleas that you can buy.  Since this kitty is very hungry and skinny I would take him to the vet as soon as possible to get him checked out.  You don't know what if any diseases this kitty could have so I would have him checked out by a vet before letting him get near your Jasmine. As far as ticks I am not sure what you would use for thatbut your vet can.  Please let us know how he is after he is checked out.

A vet visit for check up, etc. Preferably including tests for Felv and similiar...

Vet helps also with deworming and deparasiting.

Otherwise, Revolution is nowadays presciption free. It takes off most parasites, both outside and inside.

To sit, have a nice day and pick off them for hand is also possible.  

Agree also with quaranting with your cat and birds till he got a clean bill of health, and entirely deparasited too.

AWWW is he ever gorgeous and very handsome. I also would get the Revolution right away!!!! AND get a couple of them because you will need to do another treatment in three weeks, for fleas, ticks, mites, and intestinal parasites. I would not wait, and agree with above, get him to the vet pronto! Keep him in a small room, because the fleas now will be in your house if you just let him roam around a room. A bathroom would be best and easiest to clean and vacuum. Keep us posted!!!! He certainly is cute

I have been keeping Max in the bathroom away from my birds and Jasmine. I just bought some Revolution yesterday. (finally came up with a name, when I said Max he looked up at me, I was just saying names and I guess he liked Max) He trys to follow me out of the bathroom. Last night he was crying for aboout 3 minutes because he wanted to come out of the bathroom. I felt bad so I went in the bathroom to play with him. Jasmine is kind of mad since another cat is in the house. Now jasmine wants to play with me all the time and when I go anywhere in the house she follows me. (except in the bathroom!) for all the suggestions everyone. Will keep updating this thread....

MAX!!!! Guess he gave you his approval of his new name. Great news on the Revolution and he should be tick and flea free by now. :cross: Please do keep up with the updates on Max. He sounds like a LOVE!! :rub:
