Mițu, my 6 month old kitten, throw up. So the first time he throw up was about 3 days ago. He ate in the morning a bit of wet food and a bit of dry food. I saw him eating the dry food ( he usually doesn't in the mornin) and really fast. Around 12 he throw up. I tought he eat to much and I didn't mind it.
I took his food away until night and the I gave him just wet food for the next days. He was fine until today. Yesterday I put the dry food outside again and he eat a bit. Today in the morning he eat just a bit of wet food and then he started going at the dry food and then started throwing up. He throw up hos food. Then he throw up a bit of water????
I took his food away, and I gave him right now a bit of dry food. I put the dry food on a flat plait so he wouldn't eat to fast. Again he throw up. Not all the food he eat, just a bit, but he throw up. What should i do?
We went to the vet yesterday and he was fine. He plays, poops, pees, drinks water.
Can it be this dry food? Can it be that he eats to fast? Should I be concern and run to the vet?
Thank you and Im sorry for my bad english, im still learning it.

Is the food in his throw-up still in... the dry food form? Just wondering if he is regurgitating versus throwing up. From what I was able to tell from your post, it seems like it is everytime he eats dry, he vomits. I would keep him on a wet diet which is better for him and he will get a lot of the moisture he needs from the wet food.

If you do feed him dry, to see if it is the wet food, you could try a slow feed bowl like this one: http://amzn.com/B005GSYJ30

Or, what might be more fun for him, especially since he is a kitten, is a SlimCat Food Ball. I know other TCS'rs who use it and I used to use it with my kitties when they were on dry. http://amzn.com/B0018CG40O

I hope he is feeling better soon!

Thank you for the replay. I found out that it was the food that was making him throw up. I don't know why but that wellness food wasn't good at all.
I stoped giving him that food and only wet for a couple of days and he is just great now.
Yesterday I started introducing him to the new dry food. He didn't throw up at all, but he is such a fast eater. I have to try that bowl. Right now I give him the dry food on a big flat bowl for him to slow down a bit but he still eats them pretty fast.

Oh dear, please please rethink the dry. Keep trying other wet foods. Lots of cats can't tolerate Wellness, it's not a very good food anymore.

Dry food is so bad for cats, and especially for males. Look for canned foods that do not contain carrageenan.

I didn't know about that until a couple of days ago when i read it somewherr. I took a look at the wet food he loves ( merrick, avoderm, soulistic) and they all have it in it:(
Now I have to search for other ones and I don't know where to start since he doesn't like the pate like foods. Wet food its also a bit expensive sometimes for me thats why I am giving him dry food also. I did some research and I choose one that I think would be good. But I have to start looking for better wet food.

Some Soulistic formulas do not contain carrageenan. Soulistic Good Karma chicken, for example. Weruva too (Soulistic is made by Weruva company)

Blue has some formulas that don't either. Check out the Feline Feast line and the Bistro line of Blue.

My kitten was doing the same thing. So I stopped dry food all together. I've read it "swells" up in their stomach.I also elevated her food dish so she is humping over to eat. I also give her less food more times a day.It seems to have stopped it but does she play before or after. I usually try to keep my kitty calm for about a 1/2 hour before and 1/2 hour after--especially after. I feed my kitty Fancy Feast classic pate.  I can't afford the other stuff.

I have a cat who throws up dried food occasionally (James Wellbeloved) but when I tried some RC Sterilised I got at a show as a freebie it came up both times I fed it, so it's gone to the local cat rescue.

Oh yes, elevated dishes, excellent idea! My Mazy cat has a 6 inch table. Jennie's is 3 1/2. Queen Eva has not yet shown any willingness to eat from an elevated dish. Yet.

I will do that too, right now I put it on a flat big dish so he can run after it and not eat that fast ( he eats really fast).
