Tiki is developing a very interesting personality. She use to hate being held and petted but now she seeks it out (when she is in the mood). She will lick me without fail if I scratch between her shoulder blades or armpits (do cats have pits?).
She will now run up my body (ouch) if I pat my chest. She also has a strange affinity for bottle caps. Don't know if she likes the taste or the shape/size. She will get them and put them in my shoe and play hide & seek. I always find bottle caps and change in my shoes now.
Are kittens (4 mo.) clumsy enough to choke on anything? Here is a picture of her in action.

Oh, how cute she is!! She reminds me so much of Tigger!! I would watch Tiki to make sure she doesn't swallow the caps. I am sure she can still swallow it. Gizmo, and now Scooter, like to play with the little water bottles; and, all of our cats love the milk jug/water jug twisties!!
You are lucky you can hold her!! I am jealous! :tounge2: Tigger has to be in a "baby" mood to let us hold her. If not....... forget it!!
She screams and yells at us!!

She looks alot like Tigger! Glad you finally posted picts of him/her. Are those pictures current? I went to the breeders website and they mentioned that Tigger didn't have the fuzzies but was a bit white while a kitten. This describes Tiki. Her coat is gradually turning orange with more contrast by the day. Everybody comments what an awesome looking cat it is (when she is outside on her leash). Most think she is an oscelot. Glad you liked the picture. I will submit a few photos to Cat Fancy when I remember to buy a copy (must include printed form).

NC,

The pictures on my web site are current. Not sure which pictures you saw -- the page on her is not current, a few months old. But on the main page of "Our Cats" and the link at the bottom where it says "Click Here" are current. She seems to go thru phases. Sometimes, it looks like her coat is a golden brown, other times it looks brown. I think she has a "glittered" coat, as well. Our newest kitten, Scooter, doesn't have the fuzzies either!
His coat is "hairy" like most kittens, but it is soooooooo soft. Can't wait to see more pictures of your Tiki!!

Tiki has a glittered coat which really shines in the sunlight. She is soft as a bunny as was her dad and mom. I had never really picked up a cat before I got her. I didn't realize how different they feel until the neighbor brought out her kittens to play with Tiki. This little kittens had the same basic pattern on their heads as Tiki but their fur was coarse. BTW HOw much did your kitty condo cost?
It's great!

Nitecrwl,

Well, it cost quite a bit! With freight shipping it came to around $800!
I normally wouldn't have spent that much on a cat tree. But, I have to admit.... it was well worth it. I got it from Angelical Cat Co. They have a bunch of other ones on their site ..... expensive ones, and then not-so expensive.... And, they have different lines. Mine was the Rustic Line. Does Tiki knock her bowl of water over?

Thanks for the info. I will shop around and see what I can find. She doesn't knock her water bowl over because it has a very low center of gravity. I found that she likes drinking out of my cups more than her bowl. If I leave a cup on my desk half full she will pick it up with her teeth and tip it over. Needless to say, I don't leave half full cups laying around anymore.

there are a couple. My dad is actually making me now. I found the top link to be reasonable (unless you can find someone to make it for you!)

I can build one myself but I don't have as much time as I want. I'll shop around a bit to find a good deal. Thanks for the links!

my dad found the top one helpful because the guy who makes them tells what he makes them out of, which gave my dad a place to start.

Tiki is adorable! I think some kittens have the desire to bring things to their friends, hence the bottle caps and coins in your shoes. Nothing screams "Nitecrwlr" to Tiki (apart from your person) louder than your shoes, scent-wise. I would, personally, just make an effort to keep swallow-sized "bad" things (things not meant to be digested) out of Tiki's reach.
