Well my Cow Meow Meow died yesterday, from what I think was a stroke :(

Well my question is about my other cat. Tortie, female, 13 years old or so. She has a lump on her back, I thought it was a scab from scratching. I parted her fur to take a look at it today. Sort of the size of a split pea (like you use for soup), Skin colored (not red like a pimple/cyst in people, or red like an infection). It has what appears to be three black marks, almost like blackheads. It's located a bit behind her shoulder blades.

I gave it a gentle squeeze, figured if it was a blackhead it might move some of it out. Got a little bit of oil come up from her skin but nothing came out of the "bump". I did dip a q-tip in some peroxcide and it foamed a little bit when I put it on. I was just wondering if anyone knew what this could be. She is just getting over a flea attack (no chemicals used on her so a chemical reaction is not to blame).

It could be a sebaceous cyst, but my fear would be a botfly, especially if she goes outside. A vet check would be a good idea.

I agree that your cat needs to be looked at by the vet.  I hope it is something simple and that he will be okay.  My deepest prayers and sympathies for the loss of Meow Meow.

ack, sucky internet connection killed my reply.

She's an indoor cat. I thought it was a scab but while petting her decided to check it out as it didn't feel rough to me.

She hates being in a carrier, she is skittish by nature and putting her in a carrier is nightmare, her being in a carrier is nightmare to her.

Looking for a local vet, being an indoor cat with no real health issues so far I haven;t had need for a vet since I moved out to Ohio about 8 years ago :(.
