As some of you know, my 7 mo old kitten Leo passed recently. It was tough on me, but it was really tough on his sister.

I rescued a 12 week old DLH the other day so Oksana wouldn't be so lonely. The issue is, I'm not sure it's a girl. I've not had a kitten this young since I was a little boy. I've tried looking at pics on line and she's so furry, I can't tell.

I am attaching a couple of pics. Yes, I know she has a piece of cat litter stuck to her little rear end. Sigh... It has since been removed via baby wipe :D

Regardless I am having her (him) altered in a couple of weeks so I'll know for sure then. Her color also made me think she may be male.

Thanks to all who responded. I was pretty sure but not totally convinced. I thought the raised part (I guess the Vulva) was a couple of testes trying to erupt.

Thank you. I really appreciate it. Unfortunately Leo had a heart defect and had to be put down. It was bad enough to lose a friend, but to see my little Oksana look for him for days in grief made it that much worse.

She still hasn't totally warmed up to the kitten. Oksana is such a sissy that she will let a 12 week old kitten dominate her, rather than sticking up for herself. The kitten actually was really submissive initially, but Oksana kept
running from her when she wanted to sniff. Now she's chasing/ rushing Oksana a little bit. The kitten also takes the high ground over her as well. It's pretty pathetic.

They'll get along fine as it's only been a day or 2. Here are a few pics of "Beans", AKA "Mrs. Beans", AKA "Beansie", AKA "Beaner Supremo"She's ridiculously cute. The pictures don't do her justice. She's really fuzzy :p

They often have tufts of hair that can look like testicles on little ones

How heartbreaking for the pair of you.

Beans looks like a little sweetheart, I'm sure she'll be good for both of you.

Oh my she is stunning!

I have always had my heart set on adopting an orange tabby because I just love the look. However, I have a little all white male in foster right now who makes me melt to the point that I think after 29 fosters I may finally fail. You sir, with that darn adorable Beans, is making me reconsider!!!!!!!!

I'm so sorry about your loss but I love that you and Oksana are able to open your home and hearts to another baby in need. What a happy family!

Thank you all for the well wishes, vibes, & prayers. Yes, Mrs. Beans is adorable. I absolutely melted when I saw the pics her foster had taken to be posted online. I wanted a long haired cat and had almost made my mind up on a Flame Point Himalayan kitten from a breeder. I ran accross Beans on Petfinder and put the brakes on the Himi. Beans was way cuter, and way more socialized. I was looking for a cat who is "bomb proof" and that's her in a nutshell. She loves people, and is not scared of anything. I trimmed all 10 of her nails while she slept yesterday. Oksana has to be wrapped in a towel and held down :(

A few more pics:
Beans watching TV... She loves watching TV with Daddy :D
