I am so frustrated!   I have reported a stray cat that is living around the Hilton Garden Inn in Twinsburg, Ohio to their local Paws organization, requesting they please try to help, as the cat appears to not be surviving very well on it's own.  I live in another state and was passing through that area and stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn there and observed the thin cat on the morning we were leaving (August 26th).  It was 90 degrees that Sunday, so I could not try to catch the cat and keep it in my car.  The very next morning, I emailed their local Paws organization w/all of the details on the cat, it's location, & my contact info, and received no response.  I then called & left a message for their Cruelty and Neglected division, again w/all of the details & my contact info, still no call back.  I then found their Facebook page & sent them a message with all of the information, address where the cat was located, a description of the cat and my name and phone number, still no call back.  Does anyone on this forum know anyone that works at Paws in Twinsburg, Ohio?  I don't want to give up on trying to help this cat, but I feel like my pleas are falling on deaf ears.

My father lives down that way and I am up on the lake by the Pa border. Sounds dumb but I know in my county the dog warden does after stray cats not the shelters themselves. Most shelters are short staffed and over crowded. I think Twinsburg is Summit County so it would be their dog warden.

Hi Running Wolf.  Thanks for responding.  I sent the local PAWSibilities organization in Twinsburg a message via Facebook about 2 weeks ago, after no response to my earlier attempts to contact them via phone & email, and they responded that I needed to call their Cruelty & Neglect Officer back again because they had the wrong phone number to return my call.  So I called them back and left another message, this time repeating my phone number 3 times in the message, still no one has called me back.  I thoroughly explained the situation & gave the address, description, etc.,  in both my Facebook message to them, as well as the 2 messages I left for their Cruelty & Neglect Officers, as well as an email I sent to two of their staff members whose emails are posted on their website.  I've asked in all my messages that if this isn't something they handle, to please let me know who I should contact.   If this isn't something they handle, then I don't understand why they wouldn't just tell me that instead of telling me to call them back again.  I feel like I'm just getting the runaround and you can't speak to a live person it seems when you call there, far as I can tell.  I even ended up posting a comment on their Facebook page a couple of days ago, again asking them if they let people know who have reported these things, whether or not they're following up on it.   Still nothing.  I don't know what else to do.  I feel so bad for the cat.  I'm guessing someone dumped it there & it's trying to survive.  I live 3 hours away, so I can't just jump in my car & go try to get it myself.  I was hoping someone would respond to my messages at Pawsibilties so I at least knew if they could help it.  If you hear of anything more definitive on someone in that area that may be willing to help this cat, please let me know.  Thanks.

I know about not returning messages, I get that complaint from people I know about the shelter I am at :(

I was out on break and had some guy come in on one of the days we are closed. No one could have done an intake on the critter anyway :( The guy was camping up here ad going back home friday. The best thing I could do was offer him the number of our county dog warden. Sucks when that's the only help you can offer :( The one local cat rescue I know of around here is closing up and I didn't have her number :(

Is it a possibility of contacting the hotel and seeing if anyone on the staff would consider feeding and providing a shelter for this poor kitty?   Most kitchen staff like to have a kitty around to keep mice away.  As long as he is neutered/spayed and fed and has shelter provided,  he would be safer than in a kill shelter.

I was thinking of suggesting the same thing as KRZ, calling the hotel and trying to find help through them?? Maybe a cat loving employee could take over and try to trap this cat and take the cat to PAWS? Poor kitty..... Bless you for trying to get him help. :vibes::vibes::vibes:
