OK.  Heres my situation.  I am an EXTREME ANIMAL LOVER.  my weakness is cats.  I have three currently.  A regal siamese, and two adorable stray rescues.  I just moved from NJ to Doral florida with my three cats.  The problem is no one wants to rent to someone with three cats, so i usually say two.  Currently, bc of this exact problem, i live in an extended stay hotel.  Outside I found a stray and started feeding her in hopes shed warm up to me and let me pick her up ad take her to a shelter.  Well the closer i got the more i realized that she looked pregnant.  She is about six months I would estimate.  Anyways, I was told many times not to ever bring a preggo cat to any shelter bc they will euthanize the kittens.  The day she let me pick her up was the day she led me to her four kitten hiding in a bush.  They are adorable.  Of course since day one i wanted to take her with me, but i live in a room and with my three cats it is not happening.  I cant find a place to live with 3 n i doubt itll be easier with 4.  Plus i cant keep them seperated until they get along becuase there is no way of seperating them in a studio.  So i have been trying to find them homes and NO ONE wants cats around here.  I cant believe it.  And any rescue places just want to spay her n put her back.   BUT SHE IS SO LOVING.  its to the point where she follows me and wont let me go back inside.  ALways wants to be picked up more then she wants to be fed, and cries for an hour after i go inside.  It is breaking my heart.  I want to keep her so bad but i know i can;t.  I dont want to drop her off and hope someone will get her.  She trusts me.  I cant even bare to take her kittens away.   Some woman came and grabbed two kittens and now there are only two, and the momma.  I naed her Minnie. ( yes i really am attached)  Im so heart broken and stuck I just dont knwo what to o.  We are prob going to move out by oct, to a place that thinks i only have two cats and "mysteriously gets rid of strays" so i cant even move her outside to the area.  I have been here since august, and now im in school and i cant even concentrate on working becuase I dont know what to do with her.  If we had more time I would wait until I found a place that I could move so she could live outside and come in when it was stormy.  PLease someone, someone has to want a kitten or know someone who will.  I will drive them, help with money if needed.  I dont have a ton but, I really really want to find her a home.  I cry everytiime I go insde.  She is one of the most loving cats Ive ever come across, and I know she doesnt understand why I wont bring her inside.  Please PLease someone help me.  Ive wrote mult letters called mult places, and put ads on multiple sights.  EVen if you will foster her and I wll still work on finding her a hoe after.  PLease PLEase

the kittens seem to be about 6-7 weeks.  And the mom is about six months.  I think.  The woman who tok the kittens i didnt know, and she made it much harder for me to snag the rest, becuz now they are weary of me.  But the mom is not so, hopefully.  Thanks for your help.  Let me know if i should do anything else.

If nothing else, you should probably go ahead and let the rescue place spay her and put her back...then at least she won't have any more kittens who will be homeless (or get stolen to God only know where).  And since she is so loving, are you SURE the rescue place will not try to find her a home, since it seems obvious she is not feral?  I thought they would only TNR ferals.  Also, won't they take in the kittens now that they are almost an adoptable age, and try to adopt them out?

Since you are willing to drive, could you find another place if the local one will not take them.   A no- kill shelter, or rescue site,  in a nearby community?

My heart is breaking for you and for this kitty, just hearing your story. :sniffle: This cat needs a home and so does her kittens. She is too sweet and loving to leave outdoors. Plus she will only be pregnant soon if she doesn't get spayed. I agree with Sally that she needs to be spayed right away. Even if that means she will be returned to you and released back outside. The last thing we want is for her to get pregnant again. I would start calling local vets too, and see if someone, anyone, will help you take this friendly cat and kittens. You might be surprised. Some vets and their office staff have many resources for this kind of situation. Gosh - I am so sorry for this. Yes - it tears our heart out when we can't just take them all in. :sigh: Please know we care and are sending you loads of vibes that some resolution comes of this situation. :cross: :vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes:
