The fall season is here, even though temperatures are still quite above normal. And during the fall, there are things that Rick and I like to do. We like to go for walks because normally the weather is cooler and crisper. We like to pick apples and he and I will make apple sauce, apple dumplings, and apple pies. We like to get pumpkins and hay bales for decorating. And I tend to enjoy baking more when the weather cools down....I bake more breads and experiment more in the kitchen. Fall is the time for stews and roasts in our house; I love to roast fall/winter vegetables for dinner. I will roast baking pumpkins and make puree for the rest of the year. And, of course, there's football now for Rick.

So my question for you today is: What do you like to do once the fall weather is here? Do you have any favorite fall activities?

Sitting on the back porch watching the deer and wild turkeys using their "safe corridor" - the back yard. I am not a hunter and have the Forest Service Law Enforcement officer's personal cell phone number to report poachers.

That is the best time of the year for motorcycle rides. We went for a ride last night and it was still tshirt weather, but I love it when I can put on favorite hoodies and sweatshirts.

Fall is my favorite season!  I love the fall.  My utmost favorite thing to do is ride my horse on the trails.  The leaves are falling and beautiful.  The deer are running and flocks of wild turkey are all over the place.  It is my time to truly connect with nature.
