Morning friends, bit late today with school starting up here.

Do you have a favorite pair of shoes, the ones you reach past the others to wear most days?

I can wear my favorites for three seasons here, they are black leather Keds boots, ankle-length with a strap across the front and dark silver buckle. Although they aren't made any more, I'm on my second identical pair (thanks eBay) after having the first pair resoled 3 times - I do a lot of walking and they are SO comfy and work with all my clothes!

Yes - a pair of thin-soled, black leather sneakers that I practically live in. I like them so much that I always try to have exactly the same sneakers in reserve.

My grey sneakers.  I have several pairs, and wear them till they fall apart, then go on to the next pair.  In the house, I go barefoot most of the time.

I live in Florida, so it's open-toed shoes until December, basically. And sometimes even then. :lol3:

I have a pair of black foam type flip-flops I got for $2 from Walmart that are the most comfortable ones I've ever had.

When it gets really too cold for flip-flops, I wear my black Chuck Taylor low-tops a lot.

I'm in Florida also so it's usually sandals --- or my favorite New Balance sneakers.   I can't wear flip flops --- don't like anything without a back and I just can't stand that piece that goes between your toes.   But I guess I'm the exception because I see lots of flip flops around here.

Since I'm practically always in my riding boots I guess you could say those are my fave but they really aren't.  I have a very comfortable pair of dark brown men's clogs that I absolutely love. They are comfortable, easy to slip into and easy to kick off.  They look great with jeans and casual slacks.

:lol3: I was going to say riding boots too. But since I don't own a horse anymore - or at the moment, I should say. :D... Then my leather loafers will have to do.

I'm a clog person.  I only wear shoes with a back when I'm wearing boots or heels.  My favorite pair are New Balance.

OK, time for a confession.  I guess we all have our peculiarities, and mine is a ... well, "fetish" is not the right word, but more an obsession with three things:  watches, shoes, and coats.  I know where the obsession came from.  It's an artifact of our poverty.  But I have a hard time resisting a pair of shoes I decide I like.  I have a bunch of watches, none of them valuable, all of them well-worn.  And I have a lot of coats/jackets.

But really, I usually wear one pair of shoes for home, and another for work, and that's about it.  At any given time, of course.

I don't understand the "usual" female obsession with shoes. I wear 'em so I don't hurt my feet or get cold, that's it. So they better be comfortable. I prefer my Born sandals, but I have to wear closed-toe shoes at work, unfortunately. So I wear Asics running shoes or Born leather shoes, depending on the weather. For dressing up I wear flats only. In the winter I wear waterproof insulated hiking boots. And, yes, in the spring and fall I wear my sandals with wool socks :anon:. Don't like it, don't look! :tongue2:

I love my Clarks!  They go with dress pants as long as the top is on the more casual side and jeans (which I prefer to wear anyway!). After my DD was born my feet stayed wide and longer; so a good shoe has become so important!  I have some favorite sandals for summer (I prefer to be barefoot or in sandals whenever possible!); but I can't tell you who makes them off the top of my head.

I miss being a shoe person...

I do love New Balance sneakers too.  DH wears only those for work!

Well, right now I'm wearing sandals. But I can't wait for cooler weather, so I can start wearing boots again. I just love wearing boots. With heels.
