Hi guys!I haven't been posting lots lately, but I'm here almost every day! In October of 2010, my Lil Bit was taken to the vet for a swollen third eyelid that was treated with antibitic/steroid drops.

http://www.thecatsite.com/t/222409/cancer-of-3rd-eyelid-vibes-please   and was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma of her third eyelid. After her surgery to remove the third eyelid, she has done extremely well until last week when I noticed her squinting slightly and saw a little swelling around the same eye that she had surgery on! I packed her up and went straight to the vet. After examining her, the vet had the "dreaded diagnosis. She thinks the cancer has retuned to the tissue behind her eye. She prescibed her steroid drops to try and reduce the inflammation, and after 2 days, the squinting stopped and the swelling went down. BUT...now, on day 7 of the drops, she's starting to squint again.

The vet wants to keep her on these drops for 2 weeks and if there is no improvement, our next step is removal of her eye and removing the tissue behind it. I so dread this for my baby girl, who is now 16 yr old. I don't want her suffering, but she so enjoys her life! She plays like a kitten, enjoys her cuddles, and you'd never know she was 16 just by looking at her. My head tells me to not put her through this surgery and to just give her peace, but how can I do that when I can sit here and see her rolling on the floor playing with her toys, or laying stretched out in the sunshine enjoying her life! Nope! Can't do it. I'm just going to have to trust my instinct I suppose....

Anyway, sorry for the long post, but I would appreciate any and all vibes, thoughts, and/or prayers for my little "Pu-Puss" We go back to the vet Sept. 4th. and I suppose her surgery will be soon after that.
