We rescued a blind kitten and currently being treated at the clinic. her blindeness was cause by a bad infection. We don't have an animal shelter in my city so I'll foster her in an outdoor safe enclosure after she recovers at the vet. I already have 5 cats indoors. I know there is a small chance of me finding her a home. So I need to know if she can cope with my other cats or will they be dangerous ? They are all kittens and very playful which she may not enjoy in her case.

Poor thing... :shame: Probably was the herpes virus :sniffle: If untreated as babies it can cause blindness. You are so wonderful to be willing to take her in. I honestly do not have any experience with blind kitties but do know they can adapt fairly well as their other senses become quite acute. I guess I would suggest keeping her in a very small confined space to start with. Somewhere that you will be alright keeping a permanent litter box and her necessities. Because when you open up her room, she needs to know that her room will stay the same with everything in it's place. I hope others here will come along with more helpful advice for you. Bless you for helping this poor little dear. :hugs: :vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes:

I am in the same position as Feralvr, not knowing much about blind kittens, or rather, their co-action with other, seeing, lively kittens.  So I begin with saying the same as Feralvr.

What I want to comment on, is she is lucky here,  there is no shelter in the town.  She would "is no more" very soon, in 99% of shelters...

Her only realistic chance is with a dedicated fosterer and later on adoption home.

Having this, she should do all right.  They manage, esp if they are strict inside cats.

Tx a lot!

Good luck!
