Help please...! Cat eye problem

I just adopted a cat, and his eyes look dark and one has a whitish section. strange. I attached some pictures. Your opinions will be appreciated...

The third eyelid can cover the eye(s) for many reasons: anything from a scratched or damaged eye, to an infection somewhere else in the cat.

l hope someone can give some good reasons and advice, but in the meantime l'll give you my experience with a kitten who had both eyes covered with the third eyelid when l adopted him. He had a major case of earmites and also fleas. l took him to the vet to have both treated, and got him dewormed, and that cleared him right up, including his third eyelids retracting.

Looks like the third eyelid.  Have you had kitty in for a checkup with the vet yet?.  If not that would be my suggestion

Third eyelid.  A vet visit will offer solutions etc.  What a cute little baby!
