Question of the Day, Friday, August 24

Good morning!

I'm sitting here with my coffee and one (just one, I swear) sour cream glazed donut from Dunkin' Donuts this morning. So.....

What is your favorite donut?

Boston Cream/Creme, though I'll "settle" for just plain Cream. Unfortunately, about the only thing you get here are jelly donuts, called "Berliner".

Lemon filled though I try not to eat them often, is my favorite.

Toasted coconut

Boston Cream.. I had two today.. I don't get them often at all and since I was running late from my second job, I had to rush to my main job and I snagged two on the way to eat!!

I've never had Dunkin' Donuts, unfortunately, because I know I couldn't eat a whole one. I'm very sensitive to sweet foods, so generally I can have about a bite out of a regular-sized donut if it has frostig/glaze or some kind of filling, but then that's all I can handle. But I do love those little bite-sized powdered sugar donuts they sell in corner stores.

Not really a doughnut fan, but I had these pumpkin doughnuts that were being sold by amish (or some kind of Mennonite?) people at a farmer's market in Wisconsin that were amazing.

Boston cream is my favourite.   I pretty much like all donuts as long as they aren't just plain or have coconut. I don't eat them very often though because they hurt my teeth.

Just one?  Probably the Chocolate Glazed.  I really love jelly filled too though.  Hard to pick!!

I LOVE donuts, but sadly never eat them. I stay away from refined flours, refined oils, and refined sugars... unfortunately, that's all a donut is. Why do they taste so good?

Because they are refined flours, refined oils, and refined sugars.    We have been reprogrammed to where our taste buds love all these things.  After a stay in the hospital on a low-fat, low-salt post-bypass diet,  I ate a McDouble and almost gagged at the taste and salt in it. 

My favorite is maple bars, next is cake donuts.

Eclairs, hands down.

Either chocolate long Johns or plain cake donut.  But the plain cake donut has to be just right ;-)
 

Haven't had any in a long time --- but definitely jelly donut is my favorite!

OMG I LOVE Dunkin Donuts Vanilla creme-filled donuts!!!!!!!!!! YUMMY!!!! Have not had one on a long time. I think I am due
