Hello Everybody,
My name is Tamela and I live in Australia. I don't even have a cat of my own but I do have the pleasure of living with two.
The first is my husbands beloved girl Cob Web. She is about 15 years old and was unfortunatley taken from her mother too early so has always been nervous and skiddish. The older she gets the less she likes other cats and humans. She chooses to spend most of her time inside a box in our shed/garage and has a run outside every couple of days. Our children love her dearly and although she tolerates them patting her I can tell she would prefer they didn't. I clean her toilet, deliver her meals twice daily and chat to her. We think she feels safe inside her box and we feel we are doing the right thing for her. I would love to hear what you guys think?
The second cat is Ruben. My daughters saved their pocket money and bought him from our local vet about three months ago. The vet had rescued him from the pound. He had really done it tough, was so skinny and a bit roughed up. My girls chose him over two adorable kittens because he let them pick him up!
I am precious about my home and furnishings ect.. Ruben was going to be an outside cat. Oh but how things change!!! He won my heart immediately. Now I can't bear for him to go outside to the dangers that await him there, I love to see him sprawled out on my best couch and heaven forbid I love him sleeping on our beds!
I've gone completely cat mad. It's awesome and I love it!
