i think something is seriously wrong with my cat biscuit. she is 6 years old and for about three years straight now she has been getting these god awful colds where she breaths really hard and you can hear her weezing when she purrs. And now she has uncontrolible diariahh. Im really worried about her can you please give me some imput to this. it would be greatly apprieciated. Oh and another thing she goes thru these spells where she has her colds and when she has these bad colds she will loose alot of weight and practicly weigh nothing, but she is eating so i dont understand it. Please let me know something asap. thank you very much, stephanie

She really really NEEDS to see a vet. Nobody online can possibly have any idea what's wrong with her. I would assume that if you were wheezing, having uncontrollable diarrhea, or losing weight for no reason, you'd see a doctor. . .she deserves the same.

It really wasn't clear from your first post whether Biscuit was under veterinary care, and TCS subscribes to the following, so the reply wasn't out of line:
No online advice can replace direct veterinary intervention. If you suspect that your cat may be ill, please contact your vet immediately. You are welcome to look for advice in the health forum while waiting for that appointment, but never delay proper veterinary care waiting for Internet advice. Remember that cats, and especially kittens, are very adept in keeping pain to themselves and delaying treatment may cause irreversible damage.
Has the vet says what appears to be causing Biscuit's URIs? Has herpes, for example, been diagnosed, and if so, has any course of treatment like supplements been recommended? You may find some answers here while waiting for responses:
