We definitely need a rant thread!

l just had the kitten at the vet where he was supposed to get his 3-in-1 booster (2nd shot). He had the original 3-in-1 shot 4 weeks ago while still with the breeder. I paid the outrageous price of $161 for his shot and a deworm tablet, and when l got home l checked his vaccination certificate, and see that the Feline Leukemia vaccine was also listed. So he had the 4-in-1, without my knowledge or consent. l'm torqued!!

How unusual to send a kitten off with just one vaccination. Outrageous they did the F4 without consent, I hope you've complained. 

Vets....they leave you scratching your head. Mind boggling.

Reading some of these threads about bad vets makes me realize how truly blessed I really am. I've heard tales of overcharging, forgetting vaccine stickers and refusing to replace them, etc. There are also the tragic threads where a cat dies b/c a vet misinterpreted something an owner said or meant regarding treatment.

I do know it took me years to find a good Physician after my usual one retired. I guess I got really lucky,when it comes to veterinarians.

l didn't think they could/would do that, after specifically asking if he would be indoor or outdoor. l assumed that was why l wasn't even asked if he needed the Leuk, because he's indoor only.

Live and learn - l'll be going to my old vet in the town l moved from in future.
