Dark markings on my orange cat Wilbur

Not really exciting but i thought I'd post this. It's wilbur, and he's got two black freckles on his nose, and since his mouth was open you can see the black marks in his mouth. When these first came in (they weren't there when he was born) i thought he was sick

Also, see his right eye? inside his eyelid it's black as well, you can just barely see a line. like eye liner.

Rosie has lots of those black blemishes on her mouth because of having red in her. I call them her beauty spots 

Freckles are very common on Red cats. I do remember my first Red Boy, Baby when his freckles started coming out I didn't know what they were.

Freckles can show up on nose and gums mostly, but sometimes on the edges of the eyes too or even the ears. Poor Tolly , he had two freckles on his ear tip that I thought were little scabs and I tried to scrape them off. They didn't come off so I took him to the vet and she said they were just more freckles. :lol3:

That's a particularly big one, but yeah, that's just a freckle. My cat Tails is white and orange and he has a few freckles in his mouth and on his ears.

Hi There Rosie!!! I don't get to spend the time here that I used to and it bums me out (another factor is the awful new forum software) but I sure miss your posts. Rosie is my favorite cat and she's chatty just like Wilbur.

I don't think Wilbur would like it if I called them beauty spots. Maybe "man cat tattoos"?

Yeah that makes sense, especially since his sister is dark brown/light brown. He's my first orange cat, and he's been so fun to have I can't even describe it. I think i love them both more every day.

Tails is a cool name for a cat. I watched a video on ustream all the time of a cat and her kittens. The mom's name is 'noodles' and I thought that was a great name too!
