Is my cat's incision healing properly?

Hello, I just got my male cat neutered (4 months old) yesterday at a spay/neuter clinic. I picked him up the same day. I did not get to see what his incision looked like right when we left since I was driving, but my boyfriend convinced me, since he was in the drivers seat with me, that it looks exactly like what it is now. The vets told us that him licking the incision would be highly unlikely, but as soon as we got home he started licking. We immediately stopped him and I got him a lampshade collar that he has been wearing ever since. It was also said for him to not run and jump around, but he keeps doing it. I've tried to calm him down by petting him which does work, but he still does run around occasionally.

Here are the pictures:

I'm worried as to what that red thing is coming out of his testicles, and wondering if that's normal right after neutering. Or if there's something wrong.

Thanks!

He's going back today for the vet to look at him.

Agreed, that doesn't look normal. Let us know how it turns out?

It looks like the cut cord sticking out to me.

I think he may be licking BECAUSE its sticking out.  usually you just see a cut and the edges pushed together on each side.  All the neuters I recovered(dozens) never had that and also never licked it to point there was any issues/needed a cone collar-boy or girl), but none came home looking like that.

Took him to the vet and it ended up just being some subcutaneous fat from the incision. It was all fixed! Now he's completely fine and was sent home with some antibiotics since he was licking it a little bit.

My cat was neutered a few days ago and I noticed the same thing. Should I take him to the vet? The place that neutered him said I could take him back to them and theyd give me a refund if anything was wrong, but theyre 30 mins away and my own vet is 2 minutes up the road. But then I'd have to pay the vet a lot of money that I could just get back from the other place. If they screwed up once they may screw up again is my mentality, but its costing me more to go to the vet. How serious is the problem?

Serious enough to have it looked at. Can you take a picture on your phone and send it to the vet? That should be enough to tell you whether you have to go in or not. I know it's a pain,  but it would cost a lot more if it requires further surgery because you delayed, please post back with what you find out!

It looks more like a scab now, I decided to bring him to the vet when they open again on Monday and see what they think. If something is wrong they can mostly likely have my money reembursed from the place I got him neutered. And even if I have to pay extra I just want to know he's okay. I'll report back on Monday.

Hi, I just got my cat neutered a few days ago, and his incision is looking similar, do you think I should take him to th vet or does it seem like it will heal by itself?
Photos included. Thank you.
