He is adorable! I love orange tabby boys, there just seems to be something special about them. I look forward to watching him grow up in the TCS family.

Do be sure to ask any questions you may have.  Cats are very different from any other domesticated animals, and their behaviors can be a puzzle to many new owners.

Welcome to TCS, & welcome to the "Orange tabby club."

As you can see I'm a meowmy to a orange tabby boy as well!  (well, Angel is a little more like ginger, I sometimes call him my "Gingy boy.")

But, Welcome!!!

Please show us another picture when he's fully grown so that his bone structure is more apparent. At this age it's not clear.

I always thought the name was orange tabby. (?)  And though I never planned, an orange tabby always seems to find his way to me. I've had 5 over the years. A female orange tabby is rare, they are almost always male. Here is Sam, getting comfortable next to Salvador.

Most people call them orange tabbies.  The "correct" genetic terminology is red tabby, I believe.  I've even seen them called yellow tabbies.  I have two (one a new foster we hope to adopt) and I believe all the positive stereotypes about their awesome, friendly personalities!
One in Five are female, including our new foster.  But our precious Leo is the more common male.

Your kitten is stinking adorable!  Also, light orange tabbies (which it looks like your might be) are sometimes called marmalade kitties.  Oh, and the breed is probably domestic shorthair.....a fancy way of saying "mutt" (or moggie, the cat term.)
