Boyfriend and his mother came home with a kitten early this morning (like 4am early). He was wearing a grey flea collar that was too small and meowed non-stop! I'm actually not too fond of him (scratched collar bone from him jumping on me as I left the bathroom and sleep deprived).

I've given him the name Waffles (little punk had the balls to try and steal my breakfast).

I live in a trailer park FILLED with cats (who have kittens in the Spring), but since he was wearing a collar I figured I should at least find the owner.

What are you asking this group for help with? How to find the owner of the cat? How to place it with a rescue organization?

He looks like a lilac-point siamese so he should be very adoptable, if you can't find the owner.

If the collar was too small, and significantly so, he may have been lost for a fair length of time.

Put up flyers, watch craigslist, check with the shelter if you have one nearby that takes lost animal reports.

What a cutie!!!!! and a beautiful siamese !!!! If the collar was very tight, then he might have been lost and was growing out of the collar. Thank goodness he was rescued - Waffles!! Love the name, so cute. I guess I would ask around the park, if no one says they have lost a kitten, then he is yours. Sound like your park has many feral cats :sigh: Any TNR groups you could contact to stop the breeding of all of these cats? :cross: :vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes::vibes: Good luck with this new adorable kitten!!!!

My boyfriend's mom decided to keep him.

We did ask around and no one had claimed him. He seems to have grown attached to me though and I don't even live with her!

Also many of the cats belong to people in the park (a good majority of them look to be well fed and taken care of). They're just unfixed and roam around.

If he is a full Siamese he will be microchipped. Normally vets will check chip numbers for free. I would say you should do everything possible to find the owner - they may be devastated to have lost him and you never know - he may have travelled a long way from home - cats do sometimes.

It is very good they are well taken care of. Them allowed to be out and roam is perhaps not so bad either. Many people believes this is the best...

But this unfixed is not so good.

Perhaps YOU can start some sort of action to spread the idea of neuter them?  Leaflets, contacting a low cost spaying clinic and or a TNR group?

Good luck!

His picture looks like he's blue pointed.  He certainly is a good-looking cat.

I forgot about the micro-chipping!

I'll have to mention it later tonight. I think the collar being too small was a form of neglect (or stupidity). If he had been outside long enough to grow too big for his flea collar, which also seemed quite old, he wouldn't have looked so clean and well fed.
