Still no signs of having kittens anytime soon:( I have forgotten to mention that the last 2 or 3 days she has devoloped milk in her teat's. She's still eating like a pig!! She eats and then comes back in the dinning room and lays on the floor. When I feel around on her belly you can actually feel the lumps of the kitten's!! It feels awesome:) I want to start taking her rectal temp but I dont think she would be comfortable with me doing that. Any advice on a easy way of doing it or if I should start doing it?

Don't take her temp, causes unnecessary stress. She'll have them
when she's ready

Update: still no babies!! If the previous owner's are right then she's only 8 weeks today:) So one more week to go I guess. She isnt showing any nesting behavior at all unless she does it while im at work or while im sleeping. She's huge and the babies arent as active as they had been the last few days!! This week is gonna be a busy week with my son starting kindegarten tomorrow and my husband found out friday that he has a torn ACL and a complex tear of his meniscus in his knee so we are gonna be busy with doctor appointments this week. So maybe that will make time fly by and before I know it the kitten's will be here!! Will try to update in the middle of the week if not to busy lol. Hope everyone has a great week.:)

Could be sooner than you think, not all cats nest and the kittens are super active for a few days then calm down and line up for birth

Kammi went under the chair again last night and was actually scratching on the carpet!! First sign of nesting She's done in the last couple weeks and She's only done it one other time besides last night. I have fed her 3 things of wet food today and she would eat more if I gave it to her. She has even tried getting into our dinner plates today!! All she wants to do is eat:) I go back to work tonight after just having two nights off so I think I'm gonna lock her up tonight till she has them.

So kammi had 6kittens this morning while I was at work. I talked to my husband about 2:00 this morning and he said she was acting fine so he went to to bed. I didn't have her locked up cause my kids just kept letting her out. She has them under the chair she kept going under. When I got home at 7:30 this morning I put her and the kittens in the clear plastic storage container I fixed up cause the laundry basket was pretty small and I brought the kittens and momma in the room I was trying to keep her in. Brought her food and water and she ate. She won't go near the kittens now that I've moved them in here. When I came home she was feeding them but now she isn't. I took them out of the storage container cause I thought maybe that was it and I just set them on the floor on top of a sheet with some warm rice socks under them. Kammi is real lovey dove and wants to just lay by me and every once in awhile I'll see like her back ripple.. is that contractions? Could she not be interested in them cause she still has another baby in her belly? She's still purring pretty loud and breathing fast. Any advice would be great!!

give her a soft bedding large box in a closet and put her in it to show her. they usually decide on their own where they want to have the babies but make sure she is indoor only. never let her outside. please. dangers out there. they like to hide in closets and have soft bedding. when she starts to stand and lift her bottom up and down, she is getting ready to deliver. once she delivers, if it is in an ok place don't move the box or kittens. she'll only keep taking them back where she delived them. if it's in a bad place with heavy traffic, go ahead and try to move her and the box to a closet that STAYS OPEN... when she is delivering, pet her head gently to soothe her. put her food and water close to her box, a litter box not to far away so she doesn't have to worry about leaving the kitten. don't advertize free kittens because too often they find abusive homes or used as bait for dog fights. that's what happens on craig's list too.

Put her in a dark, quiet place with the kittens. It can take 24 hours for the girls to properly bond, if she's young she may not know what to do. She could also have a retained kitten or placenta, usually if they won't settle it's for a reason.

Daisy, I think the cat was let out of the room not out of the house.

Mom finally settled with them. Her and the kittens r doing great. I've just got them in the room I tried keeping her locked in laying on the floor. I had them on a sheet but kammi moved off the sheet so they're just on the carpet but I closed the vent to the central heat and air in there so it isn't cold at all. I tried seximg them and i wanna say they are all boys. Is that possible?

She hasnt been let outside!! She has been outside one time since Ive had her. I am calling monday to set up an appointment to get her spayed!! People need to read a full story before they start chiming in!! I got this cat after she was already pregnant because the owners were just gonna drop her off somewhere if they couldnt find a new home for her. Im not sure where everyone is getting that she was let outside cause ive never said anything about her being let outside. She was let out of the room that I was trying to confine her to so she would have the kittens in there. She was never let outside.

OK everyone, there has been a slight misunderstanding, but let us relax and enjoy the kittens, and be glad that everyone is doing well. Kammi, you don't say exactly when she is getting spayed, but usually a momcat can continue to nurse her kittens after a spay, if the vet will do it, and not all will. Beautiful kittens, you and she have done well.
