Ok so I got a kitten and this kitten is about 4 months old and my mom wants the kitten to live outside but there is a stray cat that look like he want a piece of my kitten. One time my kitten was close to a window and I saw the stray cat just looking straight at mia(my kitten)and I wonder if I should leave mia outside for a night to see what will happen.Does anyone think Mia is old enough to defend her self against a full grow cat I don't know what to do

The average indoor cat lives 16 years.  The average outdoor cat lives 6 months.  Does that help you make a decision?

Indoor cats are exposed less to diseases, parasites, predators, aggressive dogs, cruel people, cars, etc.  If you want the sweet thing purring by your side for a long time, don't let her outdoors!

Welcome to TCS!

I would agree; it's safest for them to remain indoors.  I know in different parts of the world it's normal for cats to go outdoors.  Personally; our cats stay indoors.  My neighbors across the street keep their cats outdoors and it makes me nervous!  One of them has been spending more time in my backyard than across the street....I'd love to take them in if I could!  It's hard not to get attached.
