I've exhausted the options of trying to find a vet to help me since I cannot pay.  Gracie has dropped half her weight in two weeks, has very labored breathing, won't eat or drink, she still has the fight in her when I puree the food and put it into a feeding syringe and handfeed her and she does the same with the water.  I've considered the possibilities of antifreeze poisoning, rat/mouse poison, possibly heat stroke?  It's nearly 95 degrees here every day.  She's a middle aged cat with a lot of spunk but now...well...now she's nothing.  One vet in my tiny little town and no options, no car to get out of the city to beg another vet to help me.  Our animal shelters were quick to want to put her down without any kind of proper check.  I've even gently felt around her stomach to see if some kind of foreign object was swallowed somewhere along the line but she's so skinny I'm sure I would have felt it.

What else could be wrong?  What else can I do?  For now I've got her isolated in a dark and quiet place, plenty of food and water sitting out in case she gets the urge.  In the last three days she's urinated three times but no solids have been passed.  Today for the first time I went to use the tube on her water and she actually got sick and vomited up the small amount we started on.

I'm new here, I really hope I posted this in the right place.  Thank you for any advice you can give me.

Angels 4 Animals

IMOM

The Pet Fund

Care Credit

Feline Veterinary Emergency Assistance(FVEAP

United Animal Nations

If you are in the UK, you can check UK Assistance with Veterinary Bills.

Aw, you are very welcome. Please update when you can how Gracie is doing.
Not well.  Still having to force feed her.  The poor thing seems miserable to all heck, and it doesn't help that it's triple digit weather right now.
