I noticed he wasn't himself on Thursday evening. He was lethargic, his eyes looked glassy and his pupils big. The treats that he usually reacts to like their catnip...wouldn't even sniff it. Took him to the vets Friday morning. She couldn't find anything obvious. No fever. She sent him home on Clavimox twice a day and some canned recovery cat food.

He wouldn't touch the wet food. I offered him some of my foster's kitten kibble he normally loves and wouldn't even sniff it. He's been acting weird too. Antisocial, laying off by himself.

Even when I go to pet him, he moves his head away like he doesn't want me to touch him. Doesn't want to be picked up. Which is REALLY unlike him. He LOVES attention and people. I'm really scared.

I called the vet this morning and expressed my concerns. They said force feed, baby him and keep up with the meds. They are closed Monday but to call if he "crashes". (they have an emergency line)

Right now, he's behind my desk. (I'm isolating him from the rest of the crew so I can see what he's inputting and outputting)

His eyes are weird. I looked over at him and talked to him and he glanced up, his pupils huge and just looked at me weird. Like ... ugh, I can't explain it. But it's like he's a different cat.

He's the cat in my avatar. Prayers for him please!! :(

I would be calling the emergency number.  Something definitely is not right and he might need to have some tests run and given some fluids.

Thanks for your reply :). I've seen him drink twice and he used his litter once. So, that makes me feel a bit better. Still won't eat anything.

If I don't see an obvious change in him by tomorrow, I will be calling the vet and asking for blood work and get him on an IV.

It's funny though, he'll go over to his water bowl and crouch in front of it likes he's going to drink but then he just stares at the bowl for minutes. Sometimes, he will eventually drink and another time, he walked away.

I just gave him his fourth dose of medication. So, he's been on it for two full days. He should be starting to feel better by morning...

My first fear would be an intestinal or urinary blockage.  Next would be an object caught in his mouth or throat.  And, with the eye symptoms you mention, I would have some fear of a poison (houseplants, cleaning products, etc.).  Can you rule those out?

He has both pood and peed since he became sick. I don't have any new houseplants and he's an indoor cat.

He seems a bit better today. He's laying on his lounge chair and purred when I pet him. Putting his chin up as

I scratched. He's looking around today more normally and will make eye contact. Yesterday he had shifty eye movements and big pupils or

he would just stare straight ahead. I have not seen him eat but he is drinking. I do think that the anitbiotics are

helping.

Edited to add: Shiloh had a really rough start in life so my first thought was Feline Leukemia or FIB. He is a rescue from a kittymill. We fostered him and 7 other kittens and 3 cats. He almost died. They had everything, fleas, upper resp, ringworm and intestinal worms.

He mouth breathed for 3 weeks and my daughter carried him around, upright so he could breathe better. This is the first time he's been sick, it's been 2 years almost.

I either skipped over it, didn't see it, or it didn't register the first time I read your post, but he's on Clavamox.  The medication may not be setting well with him.  Call the vet and ask for a different antibiotic.
