Hi everyone new to the site and really need some advice..... Basically a few weeks ago I viewed some Bengal kittens happened to pass by today and the breeder (friend of mine) said mine little one isn't doing very well. She's not eating only drinking kitten milk while the other kittens from a later litter are eating well and taking it nicely. She doesn't look well very depressed and just laying down looks very sad :( and weak I asked if she was active (walking around/playing etc) and she isn't. We don't know if it's genetic as her sister suddenly died a week ago :(. (She is now away from her mother she was ok until she taken away as far as I know) :S. We are getting one from the other litter but I'm really gutted and my friend did say we can have her she might pull through it's anyones guess. So I want to know what you other cat lovers think? I thought about taking her home and trying different food (safe for kittens obv) but please help do you think I should have her and give it a try? x

Please consult a vet if you want to see this kitten live - this really constitutes an emergency.

The breeders going to keep her until she's well if you do take her right? And assuming the breeder is also administering antibiotics to the kitten? A vet isn't necessarily needed, breeders usually have supplies on hand and depending on how many breeder clients the vet has, know more about baby kitten care.

As far as I know she doesn't have antibiotics to give her :(. She said last night she is drinking her milk and the first one to it, when food is out she seems interested but doesn't try to eat. I can only get to her tomorrow or in the next few days (she was due to be picked up tuesday) I'd take her to a vet straight away I'm hoping she'll pick up and start eating :/ there isn't anything else I can do until she's with me and I feel horrible. If I take her she isn't going to charge full price because of how she is, not that I care about that I just her to be checked by a vet and helped. I don't know what to do though if I go there in the next few days do I take her or not? I don't want to see her die and not even try to help her. Until then I can't do anything  :(  x

It's not up to you to help her and no decent breeder would adopt out a sick kitten or let them suffer without treatment, depending who she's registered with its against the rules to let an unhealthy kitten go
