View media item 127387Our new kitten, Rhys came home today. He has his own man-cave in one of the walk-in closets.

View media item 127388Rhys exploring.

View media item 127389His first jobbie. l'm so proud!

View media item 127390First introduction to Tanner (look how bony Tanner looks in stealth mode). Tanner's very vocal so there was a fair amount of hissing, but a lot of friendly curiosity.

The introduction to Bretten on the other hand was silent, but ended up with Bretten giving him a swat for being bold, after a long face-to-face sniff.

Excuse the green masking tape, it looks ugly, but l'm painting.

Yesterday involved lurking in the man-cave and making the occasional trip out to explore. Today he's a writhing ball of affection. He sounds like a little bumble bee, lol. He ate nothing yesterday, so l offered him stinky Tiki Cat for breakfast this morning, and he loves it!

He's a Scottish double fold.

I was thinking the ears looked like a Scottish Fold. But at the same time he doesn't look like one.  I've never heard of a "double fold". I'll have to look that up in Google.

He sure is cute!!!

View media item 127639  It's really difficult to take a picture of the real colour of this cat. ln real life he looks like he's pretty much black. His coarser guard hairs are shiny black, but the underhair is tabby, and the very base of his hair is white when you separate it. He doesn't look as silver in real life as he does in the pictures, except for his belly, which is lighter than his back.

@nanner, l was raised in the north of England only 30-odd miles from the Scottish border. l guess that's where l got the "jobbie" from

@bigperm, He is so very laid back, mellow and affectionate. l finally have a lap-cat. My other fellas will settle on my lap, facing away from me, and if l stroke them they jump down. This one climbs on my lap and gazes at me while l stroke him. He hasn't done the prairie-dog yet that the Scottish are known for, but when he wants to lie on his back from a sitting position, he goes boneless and rolls backwards, lol.

LOL! It brought back some great memories of a friend of mine - I was doing a show with him - and he would insert the word "jobbie" in when we were least expecting it. :lol3:
