Hi everyone.

My name is Michelle and I am a cat owner. His name is peterson and he's three years old. He was given to me by a family member who no longer didnt want him. I love having him around and I am trying my best to take care of him. I know this is a newbie area but i am also lost. You see I am on low income because i am disabled. I was wondering how i can find veternians for those with low income. I dont have any of his paperwork and not sure if she was completely honest. All i know is his age his birthday and that he may have a microchip planted. i dont know if hes been to the vet recently or even if i could afford one. Can someone please help me and give me tips? I did try the humane society here and did not get anywhere. I hope to get to know you all and meet some new friends :)

Hi there welcome to TCS! :)

I can't directly help find anything for you being in a different but going by what I can remember from other posts, you can just google low cost vets, or ring a few different ones in your area and explain your situation and ask if they do any type of payment plans.

Sorry I can't help any more.

Welcome!

Maybe some of the links here will be helpful to you: http://www.thecatsite.com/t/155462/cant-afford-a-vet-please-read

You should be able to call some local vet's and ask the price of an exam.  Vaccinations of course would be on top of that.  But I know sometimes in my area they do "clinics" for rabies vaccinations.  I honestly dont remember the cost of it though.  It was less expensive I do know that.  You don't get an exam; but at least that is taken care of.

Hope that helps!
