Are you giving him the dry or canned c/d formula? Increasing water intake is very important for cats with urinary issues, and feeding canned food is an excellent way to make sure he's getting enough fluids (because canned food is 78%-80% moisture).

If the Hill's Prescription food doesn't agree with him, there are many other companies that make scrip foods--Royal Canin, Iams, Wysong, Purina, etc.

Dr. Pierson's site, CatInfo.org, is an excellent resource for anyone who's kitty has experienced urinary tract issues (actually, it's a great site for anyone with a cat *chuckle*), especially her page on Urinary Tract Health. I highly recommend you take a look at it; it should answer a lot of questions for you.

Good luck! Urinary tract issues are nothing to mess with and stressful as heck for all involved.
